Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) will start the registration process for TISSNET on October 22, 2018. The application form will be available at admission.tiss.edu. Candidates will have complete 50 days window to submit the TISSNET 2019 Form until December 10, 2018.
Candidates can apply for M.A., M. Sc., M.H.A., M.P.H. courses according to their area of interest. The basic eligibility is that students must have a minimum of three-year graduation degree. Even, candidates in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply. Aspirants interested in management courses can apply for M.A. Human Resources Management and Labour Relations (HRM) for which 60 seats are available at TISS Mumbai. MBA aspirants can also apply for other private universities for admission in the year 2019.
In total TISS offers 55 programmes for the new academic year, candidates can apply for a maximum of three courses. Candidates need not fill the separate forms for each programme though there is different examination fee for the number of programmes selected. Last year the fee for one programme is Rs 1030/- and Rs 260/- for general and SC/ST/OBC(NC) respectively.
In the TISSNET 2019 form, candidates also have to upload the few documents. The documents include photograph, signature, challan (If required), Income Certificate, and Category Certificate. Upload the photograph and signature in 113 * 170 px and 302 * 132 px dimensions respectively. The format should be JPG / JPEG / PNG. For the rest of the documents keep the file size below 500 Kb in PDF format only.
The TISS Form is a three-step process comprising of registration, application form, and fee payment. Candidates need to register with a valid email address and phone number to get the login credentials. In addition to that also provide details like “Where did you get to know about TISSNET?“, “Have you applied for TISSNET before?” etc
Candidates then proceed to fill the application form. Therin fill details like personal, contact, and educational qualification details. Also, upload the documents as required. Finally, pay the application fee according to the caste and income category. Only after the successful submission of the form, applicants will able to download the admit card.
Recently, TISS changed the exam date of TISSNET. Earlier it was scheduled to take place on January 19, 2019, but now the exam will take place on January 13, 2019. The exam will take place exactly one week after the XAT 2019. The preparation for TISS is easy if candidates are already preparing for other exams. The only area to focus is the general awareness, around 40 questions appear from this section. Last year, most of the questions were from current affairs as compared to static gk.
