Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) has recently revised the exam date of TISSNET 2019. On September 18, 2018, TISS released the exam notification and announced that the TISSNET examination will take place on January 19, 2019. Now on the official website, exam date has been changed to January 13, 2019. The exam will take place one week early and exactly one week after XAT 2019.
For now, there has been only a change in the test date of the exam, rest of the schedule is same. The registration for TISSNET will start from October 22, 2018, from 10:00 AM onwards. Candidates will have complete 50 days to register for the exam. The window will close exactly at 5:00 PM on December 10, 2018. Though the registration for TISS will start soon, the application form for SNAP is available until 26 November.
TISS offers admission in M.A., M. Sc., M.H.A., M.P.H. courses. Some of them are considered equivalent to MBA degree. M.A. in Human Resource and Labour Relations are the programmes chosen by aspirants interested in management studies. There are a total of 60 seats for HRM in TISS, available at Mumbai campus only.
In the TISSET 2019 Application Form, candidates can choose a maximum of three courses out of total 55 programmes. Candidates need to fill the one form only and there will be one examination for the number of courses selected by a student. The admission will take place according to the order of preference of the courses selected by the students.
The preparation for TISSNET is easy if students are already preparing for other national level exams like CAT, SNAP, XAT etc. Quantitative Ability is easy to solve if the basic concepts are cleared. Even the Reading Comprehension and Verbal Ability are doable. The distinguishing factor is the General Knowledge section. If this section is cleared, then there is a high chance that a student will easily able to clear the cutoff.
After the exam, TISS will conduct the Pre Interview Test (PIT), and Personal Interview (PI) round at Mumbai Campus only. Candidates who will clear these rounds will able to take the final admission in the college.
