Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has officially announced that admit card for the upcoming entrance exam has been delayed slightly, and will now be available for download from December 20, 2019. The institute has not provided any specific reason behind the action.
From Friday onwards, candidates will be able to download the TISS 2020 admit card from admissions.tiss.edu. Candidates can either the login link from the admissions website, or directly go to appln.tiss.edu/register/. To download admit card, candidates will need to login with their email id and password.
The TISS National Entrance Test (TISSNET) is scheduled to be held on January 4, 2020, from 2 pm to 3:40 pm as computer based test. Prior to that, the institute is organizing a pre-admission orientation program for SC, ST, OBC, minority and PWBD candidates at the TISS Mumbai, Tuljapur, Hyderabad, Guwahati campuses on December 21 and 22, 2019.
TISSNET will be a computer based test with 100 multiple choice questions. There will not be any negative marking in the exam. There will be 30, 30, and 40 questions respectively from english proficiency, mathematics and logical reasoning, and general awareness sections.
Candidates who have applied for MA HRM and LR, MA ODCL, will have to appear in the TISS Management Aptitude Test (TISS MAT) also. TISS MAT will be held just after TISSNET. There will be 45 questions of 1 mark each. There will be negative marking of 0.25 per incorrect answer in this exam. This test will consist of three sections namely comprehension, management data interpretation, business awareness with 15 questions each.
Exactly a month after the exam, result of TISSNET 2020 will be announced on February 4, 2020. Then there will be a pre interview test and personal round.
Admission will be done on the basis of PIT and PI scores in the ratio of 70:30. However for the courses where TISS MAT is held, scores of TISS MAT, PIT, PI will be used in the ratio 30:40:30.
Tata Institute of Social Sciences had announced admission details of MA admissions on October 18, 2019. Candidates were given a window from then to November 30, 2019 to apply online. And now, for all applicants, hall tickets are being issued.
Even though these are Master of Arts program, that are being offered by TISS, the value of this degree is considered equally valuable as an MBA or PGDM degree or diploma. Thus a lot of CAT, MAT, XAT, NMAt, SNAP, IBSAT and such other MBA entrance exam test takers apply for TISS MA admission as well.
For the upcoming session, after conducting the pre interview test and personal interview, TISS will publish merit list on April 21, 2020. Then candidates will be asked to upload documents online and pay fee. The first wait list will be put up on May 11, 2020, and from then to May 18, 2020, candidates will be able to upload their documents online.
