THDC India Limited is inviting applications for engagement of 110 ITI Trade Apprentices. Eligible candidates from Uttarakhand will be engaged in a one-year Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentice Act 1961. The detailed notification is available in this regard at the official website i.e. thdc.co.in. Intending candidates possessing the necessary qualifications can send offline applications to the Sr. Personnel Officer so as to reach on or before the last date. The last date of receipt of applications is October 20, 2020.
The available vacancies are bifurcated across various ITI trades at Rishikesh location of Uttarakhand. Selected candidates are to be engaged for a period of 1 year from the date of joining. There are 30 vacancies for each of the posts of Computer Operator & Programming Assistant and Stenographer/Secretarial Assistant. On the other hand, 15 vacancies are also available for the post of Draughtsman (Civil), 10 vacancies for the post of Fitter, 20 for the post of Electrician and 05 for the post of Electronics Mechanic.
Intending applicants must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria. 10th pass candidates who have acquired a regular ITI Trade Certificate in the relevant trade are eligible to apply. The minimum age of the applicants must be 18 years while the maximum age cannot be more than 30 years as on the last date. However, relaxations on the upper age limit can be availed as per norms by candidates belonging to special reserved categories. It must be noted that only those candidates domiciled in the state of Uttarakhand are eligible to apply for this engagement. Furthermore, only those who have obtained an ITI certificate in the period between 2016 and 2020 are eligible to apply.
Selected applicants will be appointed for a period of 1 year only for a monthly stipend as per provisions of the Apprenticeship Act 1961. The shortlisting will be done on the basis of merit only. THDC will not conduct any interview for selection. In case the two or more candidates have secured the same marks in the ITI examination, the one higher in age will be given preference. No candidate will be entitled to claim permanent employment after the completion of the Apprenticeship training period.
Although candidates need to send offline applications, one must at first register at the portal apprenticeshipindia.org. The registration number must be indicated on the application form. Applicants also have to submit Medical Fitness Certificate obtained from Medical Officer (Gazetted). The proforma for applications is available at the official website.
