Anna University is going to begin the registration process for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2021 from tomorrow i.e., January 19, 2021, at 10:00 am. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the entrance test on the official website i.e., tancet.annauniv.edu. The last date to register for the exam is February 12, 2021, up to 5:00 pm. Moreover, the last date to view the final status of the application form is February 17, 2021. Through this entrance exam, candidates can seek admission for postgraduate courses in the fields of Engineering, Arts and Science.
TANCET 2021 registration is scheduled to begin from tomorrow on the official website tancet.annauniv.edu. Candidates have to fill in the registration form and pay the specified fees to appear for the examination. However, aspirants require certain documents and particulars while filling the application form. These include valid email ID, personal phone number, Class 10 roll/registration number and passing certificate, Class 12 roll/registration number and passing certificate and Diploma registration number and year of passing (in case the candidate is a diploma holder).
Candidates must also submit a passport-sized, good quality photograph in the jpg format, copy of the community or caste certificate in the pdf format (only if the aspirant belongs to SC/ST/SCA category) and image of candidate’s signature in the jpg format. They must also submit the particulars to avail the online payment facility.
TANCET is a state-level entrance examination conducted by Anna University on behalf of the Tamil Nadu state government. The entrance test is conducted for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate courses in prestigious institutes within the state of Tamil Nadu. These PG courses include M.B.A, M.C.A, M.E, M.Tech, M.Arch and M.Plan. In 2020, nearly 33,416 students applied for the entrance examination. The same number of candidates or more is expected for TANCET 2021.
TANCET 2021 conducted for the coming academic year 2021-2022 incorporates colleges and institutions affiliated with the Tamil Nadu university as well as Campuses of Anna University. Various other Government-aided and recognised college, as well as self-financed colleges, shall also use the TANCET 2021 scores to grant admission to interested students. TANCET 2021 is scheduled on March 20 and 21, 2021. The MCA and MBA entrance tests are scheduled on March 20, 2021, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, respectively. The entrance exam for M.E., M.Tech, M.Arch and M.Plan is scheduled on March 21, 2021, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Admit cards for the exam are scheduled to release on March 5, 2021.
