The selection process is conducted through a walk-in-interview to be conducted as per schedule at the premises of the Schmeier Medical College & Hospital. On successful selection, eligible candidates are to be hired on a contractual basis in the aforementioned posts. Appointed candidates are entitled to receive fixed monthly emoluments as indicated in the official advertisement available at the SMC website. Candidates appointed to the post of Physicians are entitled to receive monthly emoluments of Rs 1,20,000. The post of Senior Resident is entitled to monthly emoluments of Rs 66,000. Medical Officers are entitled to receive Rs 60,000 per month. Candidates appointed to the post of Nurse are entitled to receive Rs 15000 per month while the posts of Ward Boy and Aaya are entitled to receive monthly compensation of Rs 7500.
