St. Xavier’s College Releases FYMA Psychology First Merit List for Gen, Christian Minority, and Special Category

On one hand St. Xaviers releases the first merit list, on the other hand, Mumbai University changes the admission schedule. Read all details here.

St. Xaviers college has announced first merit list for first year MA (part 1) Psychology course. The merit list has been released in a PDF format, on the official website of the college which is xaviers.edu. With this St. Xaviers became the first college to announce the merit list on August 4, 2020.

The merit list has been released separately for General, Christian Minority, Special categories. The counselling process will commence from August 06, 2020 (from 11.00 AM) and will go on till August 08, 2020. 

The college has further notified that it will announce the second merit list on Tuesday, 10 August 2020 at 3:00 pm, subject to availability of the seats.

He selected candidates in the first merit list, have to make payment of fees for admission confirmation. The fee is Rs. 92,000/- for students from Mumbai University and Rs. 93,250/- for the students from other universities. All admissions will be subjected to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria as per University of Mumbai rules and verification of marks.

In a turen of event, alongwith ST. Xaviers all other colleges of Mumbai university were supposed to release the first merit list today, that is August 4, 2020. However, Mumbai University have revised the schedule. Now the last date to fill and submit the pre admission form and college admission form has been extended to August 5, 2020 and the first merit release date have been pushed back to August 6, 2020.

For the candidates in the first merit list the document verification and payment of fee is to be completed from August 6 to 11, 2020.

The second merit list will be released on August 11, 2020 and the document verification / payment of fees for this round have to be done from August 12 to 17, 2020.

Similarly the third merit list will be out on August 17, 2020 and the verification / payment of fees for this round have to be done from August 18 to 21, 2020.

During the counselling, the candidates have to produce their documents like 2 printed copy of the admission form, printed copy of the pre-admission form, declaration / undertaking form, banking details, class 10th and 12th mark sheet, other mark sheets, copy of caste certificate (if applicable), transfer and conduct certificate etc. 

Mumbai University follows its own reservation policy where 13% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste, 7% of the seats are reserved for ST, 19% of the seats are reserved for OBC. 3% of the seats are reserved for DT. (A), 2.5% of the seats are reserved for N.T (B), 3.5% of the seats are reserved for N.T(C) and 2% of the seats are reserved for N.T (D). 

Some of the colleges affiliated with the Mumbai University are Bhavan’s College, B.K. Birla College Kalyan, Jai Hind College, Institute of Forensic Science, Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, Mithibai College, Sophia College for Women, Wilson College, St. Andrew’s College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Thakur College of Science and Commerce, KC College, Model College etc.
