Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct the Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) tier 2 exam on November 24, 2019. Initially the exam was supposed to be held on November 17, 2019; however it was later postponed due to administrative reasons. With ten days to go for the exam, the regional commissions have started releasing application status and admit card.
SSC MTS tier 2 admit card 2019 is now available for download from SSC Central Region (CR) website ssc-cr.org. It is for candidates who have opted UP, Bihar as exam centers.
SSC KKR has published the application status at ssckkr.kar.nic. Whereas SSC NR has done the same over sscnr.net.in. The former is for Karnataka, Kerala states. Whereas the latter is for Rajasthan, Delhi, and Uttarakhand.
Remaining commissions that is SSC WR, SSC MPR, SSC ER, SSC NER, SSC SR, SSC NWR will soon release application status and admit card as well. They will respectively do it at sscwr.net, sscmpr.org, sscer.org, sscner.org.in, sscsr.gov.in, sscnwr.org.
All candidates who have been declared qualified for the second level of SSC MTS recruitment, need to obtain their admit cards before exam. To do so, one has to login at the admit card download page, where different credentials like name, registration number, date of birth can be asked for, depending upon the commission.
Recently the Staff Selection Commission published a list of additional 9,551 candidates who are now also qualified for the tier 2. This step was taken as the previous result announced on November 5 did not consider ex-servicemen, and EWS candidates qualifying at the UR standards were selected in EWS category whereas they were eligible for UR category. As the first list contained 1,11,162 candidates, this new list makes a total of 1,20,713 eligible for the exam.
SSC MTS 2019 tier 2 exam will be descriptive. It will have questions of short essay, or letter writing in English or in any language that is a part of the 8th schedule of the constitution. Maximum marks that can be obtained in the paper is 50. The test will be of 30 minutes only. It will only be qualifying in nature.
Qualifying marks in tier 2, also referred to as paper 2, will be 40% for unreserved category candidates and 35% for all reserved category candidates. Although marks in the exam will not be counted for merit, it will be used for tie breaking wherever required.
On the day of the exam, test takers are required to carry a print out of the admit card, as well as at least 2 passport size photographs, and an original valid ID proof. The allowed ID proofs are aadhaar card, voter ID, driving license, PAN card, passport, school or college ID card, employer ID card.
However, the commission also adds “if the photo identity card does not have the date of birth then the candidate must carry an additional certificate in original as proof of their date of birth.”
SSC MTS 2019 is being held for a total of 5,415 vacancies for posts inb 18-25 years range, and 1,684 vacancies in the 18-27 years range. Thus there are overall 7,099 vacancies. A total of 38.58 lakh candidates had applied for the exam, of which, 19.18 lakh had appeared. After the tier 2 exam, candidates will be shortlisted for document verification, after which, final results will be published.
