SSC JE Result 2019 declared at ssc.nic.in! Paper 2 to be held on December 29

SSC JE cut off 2019 of paper 1 / tier 1 is lower than that of last time. 8681 candidates have qualified for civil engineering, and 1919 have qualified for electrical and mechanical.

SSC JE Result 2019

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) announced the SSC JE result 2019 today, on December 12, 2019. The commission has published result write up, as well as two separate lists, each containing lists of candidates who have been shortlisted for paper 2 on the basis of their performance in paper 1. 

It may be noted that the SSC Junior Engineer recruitment 2018-2019 paper 1 exam was held from September 23 to 27, 2019. A total of 3,77,133 candidates had appeared in it. The commission has checked all papers on the basis of final answer key and awarded marks, deducted marks as per the marking scheme. Then the marks were normalized to arrive at the final score for the purpose of determining merit for selection. 

Those candidates whose normalized scores are equal to or more than cut off are hereby being called to appear in the second level of selection, paper 2, which will be a descriptive test. The said paper 2 will be held on December 29, 2019.

A total of 8681 candidates have been qualified for civil engineering. This includes 1601 SC, 865 ST, 3150 OBC, 1567 EWS, 1498 UR, 69 OH, 49 HH, 30 PWD. The cut offs are 107.61 for SC, 107.01 for T, 122.91 for OBC, 118.99 for EWS, 127.40 for UR, 97.45 for OH, 61.61 for HH, and 40.08 for PWD.

In the case of electrical and mechanical engineering, the number of qualified candidates are 1919. Category wise break up is 307 SC, 180 ST, 701 OBC, 341 EWS, 390 UR, 42 OH, 21 HH, 30 PWD. The cut offs are 133.39 for SC, 125.49 for ST, 149.30 for OBC, 147.47 for EWS, 152.16 for UR, 110.55 for OH, 70.39 for HH, and 40.04 for PWD.

For paper 2, SSC will release admit card for qualified candidates on the websites of the regional Staff Selection Commission offices. However if someone is qualified and is unable to download his or her admit card, should contact the office at once. 

Other than the result, and cut off, SSC has also published final answer keys. 

How to check SSC JE result 2019?

Candidates need to visit ssc.nic.in and click results icon on the top. Then on the next page, click JE. Here, they will see a table with five columns, uploaded date, examination name and year, write up, result, marks. 

The results of interest are the one against the examination name and year “Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contract) Examination, 2018 – List of candidates qualified in Paper-I for appearing in Paper-II (Electrical/Mechanical”, and “Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contract) Examination, 2018 – List of candidates qualified in Paper-I for appearing in Paper-II (Civil)”. 

Clicking the write up link in any of the two rows will open the result write up that has cut offs, instructions for paper 2, and towards the end, it has the link to check final answer key. 

Clicking the result link in the first row opens up the list of candidates who can appear in paper for electrical and mechanical of SSC JE recruitment. Whereas the second is to appear in paper 2 of civil.
