SSC GD Constable 2021: Commission issues 5 Important Details for Exam, Admit Card, Timings – Check Press Release

The SSC GD Constable 2021 recruitment exam is all set to be conducted for a period of 21 days i.e., from November 16 to December 15, 2021.

SSC GD Constable 2021 Press Release

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) recently issued a press release, announcing key pointers regarding the GD Constable 2021 recruitment examination. This press release comprises information regarding the exam admit card, exam timings, number of centres and cities in the country, as well as items not allowed at the exam centre. The SSC GD Constable 2021 recruitment exam is all set to be conducted for a period of 21 days i.e., from November 16 to December 15, 2021.

While the exam has already begun, candidates giving exam at a later stage must know these 5 important details about the exam –

#1 According to the press release, the GD Constable 2021 admit cards will be issued 4 days prior to the exam date. For instance, if a candidate is appearing for the recruitment exam on November 16, 2021, his/her admit card will be issued on November 12, 2021, on the official portal, ssc.nic.in. Candidates will get 4 days’ time to print a copy of their hall ticket before the exam.

#2 The SSC GD Constable 2021 recruitment exam will be conducted for a period of 21 days in a shift-wise manner. Three shifts will be held on each day for a duration of 1.5 hours – first, 9:00 am to 10:30 am, second, 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm and third, 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. The exam timing for each candidate will be specified in his/her hall ticket.

#3 As per official sources, a total of 4,38,161 candidates from the Southern Region (SR) have registered and will be admitted for the recruitment exam. Starting today, they will be attending the exam in accordance with the exam date, shift timing and venue mentioned in their e-admission certificate.

#4 According to the official press release, the GD Constable 2021 recruitment exam will be held at 26 venues across 20 centres or cities. These include –

  • Tamil Nadu – Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Vellore, Tiruchirapalli and Tirunelveli
  • Andhra Pradesh – Chirala, Guntur, Kurnool, Kakinada, Nellore, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram
  • Telangana – Hyderabad, Warangal and Karimnagar

#5 At the recruitment exam centre, candidates are only permitted to bring their GD Constable 2021 e-admission certificate and original valid ID proof. They are not allowed to bring any of the prohibited items such as study material, calculators, electronic devices, notes, books, etc. Strict action may be taken against those who are found in possession of such barred items.

Additionally, candidates are advised to follow all the COVID-19 norms prescribed by the commission along with the instructions mentioned in their e-admission certificate. Below is a copy of the official press release for a candidate’s reference.
