SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) will announce the phase 1 result for SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMJEEE) today, on May 27, 2021. As informed by the official sources, the result is expected to be out by late evening. The students who appeared for the exam will get the intimation about the result on their registered mobile number and e-mail id.
The result can be checked online at srmist.edu.in. To access the result login, candidates have to enter the registered email id and password. The result is expected to bear details like scores, qualifying status, and rank in the exam. Based on the rank in the exam, and choices for course and colleges submitted by the candidates, allocation of seat will be done during the counselling.

Pandemic has been difficult for everyone. Looking at the situation, SRM has decided to allocate rank based on class 12th score as well. However, this has only been done for those students who qualified 10+2 exam in 2020. The dropper candidates were given a chance to take admission in SRM B.Tech courses based on their class 12 board marks. Such students have been already sent their ranks and choice filling details starting from May 18, 2021. The rank sent to them was drawn purely based on the class 12 marks submitted by the candidates. Such students were asked to select 3 choices in order of their preference, and the choice filling was open from May 18 – 20, 2021.
Phase 1 of the SRMJEEE 2021 exam was held on May 23 and 24 in a remote proctored mode. The phase 2 exams are scheduled for July 25 and 26, 2021, and the application process for the same is open until July 20, 2021. The phase 2 exams will be also held in remote proctored mode. The Mock tests for the phase 2 exams will be held on July 23, 24, 2021.
SRJEEE 2021 is a 02 hours and 30 minutes exam. All questions are of MCQ type. The question paper is set in the English language only. There is no negative marking in the exam and each correct answer fetches 01 marks. Questions are asked from Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English and Aptitude.
The annual tuition fee in SRM varies from Rs 1 lakh (for B.Tech Civil Engineering in SRM Ramapuram) to Rs 3,75,000 (for B.Tech Nanotechnology). The hostel fee amount has a large range; the least being Rs 34,500 for 6 sharing non-ac room to max being Rs 1,70,000 for 2 sharing AC room. To enable students for whom fee may be a barrier, SRM has provided information on easy soft education loans on the admission website, wherein it has given details of loan facility by ICICI bank, City Union Bank, Axis Bank Ltd, and Indian Bank.
SRM Institute of Science and Technology was founded in the year 1985. Its main campus is the SRM Kattankulathur campus, in Chennai, spread over 250 acres. Besides it has two more campuses in Chennai, one is the Ramapuram campus, and the other is the Vadapalani campus. Another campus of SRM is the SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Delhi NCR Campus Ghaziabad (U.P.); this came into being in the year 1997. The newest campus is the SRM University Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh campus. SRM AP is a private university (the rest of the campuses are deemed to be university), planned over 200 acres. Admission to all campuses will be on the basis of SRMJEEE 2021 results, via a common counselling process.
