South Indian Bank invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Probationary Officer (PO) on its career page, recruit.southindianbank.com. The application process has commenced today, and shall remain open until September 08, 2021. The tentative selection process for the aforesaid post includes an online test followed by an interview.
According to the eligibility criteria, the prescribed age limit is 18 years to 28 years. Along with this, the candidate is required to be a graduate with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Additionally, having 2 years of work experience with a scheduled/commercial bank/SFB in India is mandatory.
The candidate upon final selection will be kept on a probation period of 1 year. Along with this, they will be covered by a service bond for 2 years. According to which, if the candidate leaves the Bank before completion of 2 years then, he will be liable to pay Rs 1, 50,000 to the bank.
The candidates upon final selection will be eligible to receive emoluments on the basis of the pay scale prescribed by IBA for the post of PO. The prescribed salary pay scale for the post is Rs 36,000 – 1,490/7 – 46,430 – 1,740/2 – 49,910 – 1,990/7 – 63,840. He shall also be eligible for appearing in JAIIB and CAIIB exams for additional increment.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on Apply online and proceed further
Step 3: Next, comes the registration process wherein candidates need to specify Applicant’s name, Email id, mobile number and password and click on the submit button
Step 4: On submission of details, a user id and password will be generated. The candidates should now log in to fill the application form with relevant details i.e. personal details, academic details, address, test centre city, category etc
Step 5: Next, comes the upload section wherein they need to upload their photograph, signature, updated CV and experience certificate. The documents must be within the prescribed size limit as mentioned in the notification
Step 6: In the end, candidates need to pay the application fee of INR 800/ via any online payment channel and submit the application form
The prescribed size limit is 200 KB for the candidate’s photograph, 50 KB for signature file and 1 MB each for updated CV and experience certificate.
