South Indian Bank (SIB) is going to commence the South Indian Bank PO Clerk recruitment 2022 tomorrow, January 05, 2022. As per a report shared by a popular daily, the bank is going to commence the application process soon. The notice further reads that candidates who are freshers or have relevant experience can apply for either of these two posts.
Eligibility Criteria
As of today, no additional details have been divulged for these two posts, and only a short advertisement has been released. However, based on past records, it is expected that the minimum eligibility is a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. There are prescribed minimum qualifying marks i.e. 60% for the clerk aspirants and 55% for the PO aspirants. A work experience of at least 2 years is required for the post of Probationary Officers in South Indian bank. Although it is not yet confirmed as of now, there could be a domicile clause for the candidates from the state they wish to apply for the South Indian Bank recruitment exam.

Exam Pattern
The selection process of the SIB Clerk includes an online written test followed by an interview round. The written exam is going to feature questions based on five subjects, General Awareness, English Language, Computer Knowledge, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning. A total of 200 questions accounting for 200 marks will be asked in the exam. Candidates will get 2 hours to complete the written test. Whereas, the selection process of SIB PO comprises an Interview round only. Candidates are initially shortlisted on the basis of their eligibility. The final selection of the candidates in the exam will be subjected to their performance in the interview round.
As per the previous years’ notification, candidates who complete the selection process with minimum marks are kept on a probation period. For clerks, the probation period is of 6 months while for the PO, the probation period is equivalent to 2 years. The salary paid to candidates is decided on the basis of the IBA scale put forth by the banking unions.
Other than this, more details such as the final number of vacancies for both the posts, age limit criteria, application fee, etc for the South Indian bank etc will be known when the bank announces the complete application form.
