Steel Authority of India Limited has issued a notice regarding the re-opening of the application form for the post of management trainee in the technical field. Along with the form starting again, the vacancies have also been revised by the organisation from 142 to 399. Now, the candidates can fill the form till December 15, 2019.
Candidates with a valid GATE score and satisfying other eligibility criteria can apply. Those with valid GATE score of ME can apply for mechanical engineering discipline, MT paper candidates can go for metallurgical engineering, EE candidates can apply for electrical engineering, CH can go for chemical engineering, IN for instrumentation engineering, and MN for mining engineering.
Against the revised vacancies, there are 156 vacancies for ME, 67 for MT, 91 for EE, 30 for CH, 36 for IN, and 19 for MN. It may be noted that this recruitment through score of the previous GATE exam.
Category wise, for unreserved category there are a total of 161 vacancies, then 106 vacancies are for OBC, 59 for SC, 34 for ST and 39 for EWS. Along with this 16 seats are reserved for the person with a disability according to the horizontal reservation basis.
However, there are no changes in the number and type of disciplines available for applying. They are same like before which are mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, instrumentation engineering and mining engineering. For all, a total of 399 vacancies now exist that have been detailed in the new recruitment notice.
For SAIL recruitment 2019 through GATE, the organization has opened the application form filling window for 15 days that started on November 25, 2019. To notify interested candidates of the same purpose, SAIL has released an official notice on the official website of the SAIL which is sail.co.in. Prior to this, last date to apply online was June 14, 2019.
Reopening of SAIL recruitment through GATE 2019 online application form shall benefit those candidates who were earlier not able to fill the form. Those who have already applied need not take any action.

Against the application form, the fee to be paid is Rs. 700 by general and OBC candidates. The same for the SC and ST candidates is Rs. 100. The fee can be paid online using different options.
To be eligible for the post of the MT, SAIL demand that candidate should have an engineering degree in a specific field having 65% marks. Moreover, one must also adhere to the upper age limit of 28 years as on June 14, 2019, as set through the guidelines.
