RRB Group D Result Out Next Week; Major Change in Physical Test (PET) This Year

Over 1.8 crore candidates are waiting for their RRB Group D Result 2018. Railway Recruitment Board has not announced any date for declaring it. However, as per the news reports, the result for RRB Group D be out on February 13, 2019. It will be released on the zonal website of RRBs as merit list and scorecard.

The scorecard of RRB Group D will be issued to all the candidates who appeared for the examination between September 17 to December 17, 2019. It will contain their raw marks, pro-rata marks, normalized marks, and qualifying status. Whereas, the merit list will only contain the names and roll numbers of the candidates who qualify for Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

RRB Group D Physical Test Details

It is expected that around 1.2 lakh candidates will be selected for the next round, as per RRB Group D Result. Most of the Group D vacancies fall under Group C Level 1 and are jobs such as gateman, helper, porter, assitant pointsman, etc. To work in Indian Railway candidate need to be physically strong and fit. Hence, candidates have to appear for RRB Group D Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

The biggest change in the RRB Group D PET this year is that there are 2 tasks on the basis of which candidates will be judged. The tasks are running and weight carrying. Until now, the candidates only had to run but this time they also need to carry weight.

The male candidates have to run a distance of 1000 meters. The candidates have to cover the distance in 4 minutes and 15 seconds and in one chance. On the other hand, female candidates also need to run 1000 meters in one chance but will get 5 minutes and 40 seconds to do so.

The newly introduced weight carrying, RRB Group Physical Test, is also different for the male and female candidates. The male candidates have to lift 35 kg weight and carry it for a distance of 100 meters. The distance has to be covered in 2 minutes and in one chance. The female candidates will have to lift 20 kg weight and carry it for 100 meters, within 2 minutes. They will also get one chance only.

Candidates who will get through RRB Group D PET will be called for Document Verification round. Here, the candidates will have to produce required documents to prove that they are eligible for the post, as per the requirements. RRB Group D Recruitment 2018 is open for 62907 vacancies and is one of the biggest ongoing recruitment by Indian Railway.
