RRB Group D Exam Analysis: 17 September 2018 Exam Moderate; Science and Maths Questions Tricky

After a long wait, Indian Railway has finally opened RRB Group D Recruitment, to fill Level 1 posts. in all, 62907 vacancies will be filled through a rigorous selection process, which included computer based test, physical efficiency test, and document verification. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is conducting Group D CBT (Stage-1) in 49 days for 1.9 crore candidates. The exam started today, on September 17 and will end on December 14, 2018. Candidates who will be appearing for the examination in upcoming days can get idea about the level of examination from RRB Group D Exam Analysis for 17 September 2018 exam.

How was RRB Group D 2018 Exam on 17 September 2018?

Well, as per the review of the students, the examination was easy to moderate in the level of difficulty. Questions from science were tough and gave a tough time to candidates. On the other hand, questions in mathematics section were tricky and candidates needed out of the box thinking to solve it. Current affair and general knowledge section was was easiest and candidates got to see a lot of expected questions which they already prepared.

The questions were mostly asked from science and maths section. The questions were appearing in random order on the screen. There was no specific section for a particular subject. The review of the students in social media platform is as follows:

RRB Group D Exam Analysis of Mathematics Section

A lot of questions were asked from HCF and LCM. The questions asked in mathematics section were basic but candidates find it a little difficulty to solve water tank questions. Trigonometry section was especially tough for the students, whereas, questions from rest of the topics were not that difficult. The questions were asked from Pipe and cistern, Profit and Loss, Ages, Time and Work, Geometry, Time Speed and Distance, Average, Trigonometry, Percentage, and DI( Pie chart), etc.

RRB Group D Exam Analysis of Reasoning Section

In this section, the questions were asked from Syllogism, Venn Diagram, Mathematics Calculation, Mirror Image, Odd one out , Coding- Decoding, Analogy, Series, Direction, Statement and conclusion, Counting Figure, Calendar, etc. Mathematical and analytic approach was needed to solve most of the questions.

RRB Group D Exam Analysis of SCIENCE Section

Maximum questions in this section were from physics. In chemistry, the questions were asked related to acids, periodic table, etc. Few questions from biology were also asked on plant and animal kingdom. Majority of candidates found this section to be the toughest.

RRB Group D Exam Analysis of GK Section

This was the easiest section. The candidates had to attempt questions on famous people, like who is the CEO of Paytm, Minister of Bihar, First female to win gold in Asian games etc. The candidates had to also answer questions on sports, economics and politics.

RRB Group D CBT 2018 was a 90 minutes examination. In it, candidates were given total of 100 questions to solve. The cutoff to clear the examination is 40% for UR candidates and  30% for OBC, SC, and ST candidates. The candidates who will qualify the exam will be called for PET round.
