Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially confirmed RRB ALP CBT 2 is likely to begin from November 19, 2018. The Board confirmed the news with the RRB ALP Result date 2018. The Stage 1 result will be announced by November 5, 2018. Approximately, 9.5 lakh candidates will be qualified as per the result and will be called for the second stage.
Around 48 lakh candidates applied for the exam, from all over India. The candidates were thrilled to know that RRB ALP CBT 2 will be held so soon. Not even half a month is left for the examination. It is now important that candidates know the exam pattern, syllabus, important books, and more details about the upcoming computer based examination.
Who will be Selected for RRb ALP / Technician CBT 2?
Only those candidates will be selected for RRB ALP Stage 2 CBT who will qualify the cut off for Stage 1. The number of candidates selected for this stage will be 15 times more than the number of vacancies. Hence, it is begin expected that more than 9 lakh candidates will qualify because the total number of vacancy for RRB ALP / Technician is 64371. To be specific, 27795 vacancies are for Loco Pilot and 36576 vacancies are for Technician.
When is Admit Card for RRB ALP CBT 2 Releasing?
The admit card will be available at least 4 to 7 days before the examination. If the examination is starting from 19th, then the candidates can expect the admit card to release near November 13 or 14. RRB will soon inform the exact date for the issuance of the admit card. It will be released online, and to download it user id and password will be needed.
RRB ALP CBT 2 Exam Pattern
As it is clear that even RRB ALP CBT 2 will be an online examination. It will be divided in two Part. These will be Part A and B. Part A of the examination is very important as the score of it will be used to prepare the final merit list. On the other hand, Part B is only a qualifying exam, i.e. candidate must qualify it but score of it will not be used for merit evaluation. Only those candidates will be included in final merit list who will qualify both the parts.
Part A will be a 90 minutes examination, in which candidates will have to solve 100 multiple choice questions. These questions will be asked from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering, and General Awareness on Current Affairs.
While Part B will be a 60 minutes exam, in which candidates will have to solve 75 questions. The questions in this section will be asked from trade syllabus, as defined by the Director General of Employment and Training (DGET).
RRB ALP CBT 2 Syllabus 2018

Candidates seeking Part B ALP DGET syllabus can go the official website of DGET, which is dget.nic.in, and get the syllabus from there. The syllabus for each trade is different. Hence, candidates should be careful while checking the syllabus.
RRB ALP CBT 2 Cut Off Percentage
RRB has given the qualifying percentage for CBT 2. For Part A it is category wise. Candidates belonging to UR category have to score 40% marks. While candidates of OBC and SC category only have to score 30% in the exam. The passing percentage for ST category is 25%. The passing percentage marks for Part B is 35%.
