Railway Protection Force (RPF) has postponed the Sub Inspector Examination without any prior notification. Beforehand the examination was supposed to be held on tomorrow (January 09, 2019). Now there are no firm dates for re-conduction of this examination. The candidates will be notified about the new dates through SMS on their registered number.
The postponed examination is for phase 3 of Group C, D. The candidates who are going to appear under this category on the same day need not appear now. However from January 9 onwards the RPF SI examination will be held on the announced schedule.

The official website of RPF Constable and SI has been notifying this message “DUE TO REPRESENTATIONS BY CANDIDATES, THE ONLINE EXAM SCHEDULED ON JANUARY 9TH HAS BEEN POSTPONED. THE REVISED SCHEDULE WILL BE INTIMATED SOON IN OFFICIAL WEBSITE AND SMS”
As per the notice, the cause for the exam postponement is candidates representations. Apart from this noting has been clarified by the officials. Why the candidates have submitted the representation, RPF has not provided the explanation behind this. The candidates should note that this examination is postponed only for SI, those who are appearing for the Constable examination need not be confused, their examination will be held as per the schedule. The constable examination never falls on January 09, 2019.
Before this one more instance of the exam, the cancellation has happened in RPF recruitment examination. The examination for RPF SI and Constable from January 05 to 10, 2019 canceled for Kerala region only due to unrest.
From January 10, 2019, all the aspirants of RPF SI and Constable have to appear for CBT as per the schedule, except for Kerala region candidates. It is mandatory to carry the admit card in the examination for getting the entry in the examination hall.
After the CBT, Railway will release the answer key for computer – based examination on its official website. In addition to this those who will appear in CBT will get the refund of application fee.
Through this RPF recruitment, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) will select 1120 candidates on the post of Sub inspector, and 8619 candidates for the post of Constable.
