More than 40 lakh aspirants are waiting for RRB ALP Revised Result 2018. The result is likely to be announced today, on December 20, 2018 as per the notification released by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) on December 04, 2018. The Board has to announce the revised merit list, score, and final answer key of the RRB ALP / Technician 2018 for all the candidates who appeared for CBT 1.
RRB usually makes all the important updates on the website at midnight. Aware of this fact, candidates checked RRB ALP Login at 00:00 hours and they were able to see an updated scorecard.
The confusion started when candidates got to know that the result of RRB ALP 2018 has been announced at night. While some claimed that the result has been announced, other were skeptical of it. What happened is that RRB usually makes all the important updates on the website at midnight. Aware of this fact, candidates checked RRB ALP Login at 00:00 hours and they were able to see an updated scorecard. The major difference was in the exam trade and post preference. Candidates even shared screenshots of the updated scorecard on social media platforms.

Checking this, candidates whose scorecard was not changed grew apprehensive. Even a minimum change of 0.1 marks can lead to huge change in the pro-rata and normalized marks, which will directly affect the merit list and possibility of qualifying for the next round.
Advancement on the story is that the login for RRB ALP, on which the score is uploaded, has stopped working for a while. The message on it displayed, “The Login to form will be available only between 20-12-2018 18 Hours 00 Minutes to 20-21-2019 23 Hours 55 Minutes”.

The login for RRB ALP is vulnerable to high traffic. Hence, the Board only opens it for a particular duration. Now, some websites are claiming that the result will be announced at 6:00 pm. However, this is not what the message states because RRB will not release the result only for 6 hours. Once the result has been announced, candidates will be able to check it for a longer period of time.
As per the notice, for RRB ALP CBT 2, 15 times the number of vacancies candidates will be selected. The stage 2 CBT will be held from January 21 to 22, and 23, 2019. It will be divided in Part A and B, out of which Part B is a qualifying examination. In Part A, candidates will have to solve 100 MQCs in 1 hour 30 minutes. These will be from mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning, basic science and engineering, and general awareness on current affairs. The questions in Part B will be asked from Trade Syllabus, as defined by the DGET.
