The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the notification for recruiting Assistants across various offices of the bank. A total of 950 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment examination. However, the selection will be carried out through a competitive examination that will span over two phases, namely the preliminary and main examination and the Language Proficiency Test. The online application process has already begun and will continue till March 08, 2022.
Form-filling Requisites
Prior to filling out the RBI Assistant 2022 application form, candidates must keep scanned copies of certain documents ready. The documents are:
- Photograph
- Signature
- Left Thumb Impression
- Handwritten Declaration
For scanning the photograph and signature, the candidates must go through the official notification carefully. However, the handwritten declaration must be written by the candidate and type scanned. This scanned copy of the handwritten declaration needs to upload at the end of the online application form. The statement that needs to be written is:
I ____ (name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.
Computer Knowledge
The selection procedure of RBI Assistant 2022 involves a preliminary examination followed by the main round. In the preliminary round, the tests involve questions from English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The total marks of the examination are 100.
Now, in the main examination, there will be five tests namely:
- Test of Reasoning
- Test of English Knowledge
- Test of Numerical Ability
- Test of General Awareness
- Test of Computer Knowledge
A total of 40 questions will be asked from each test, including Computer Knowledge. As such, the maximum marks allotted for each section are 40 marks which means that the total marks are 200. It must be noted that a duration of 20 minutes will be given for the Computer Knowledge section. Now, as per sources, the topics that are required to be studied are Storage Unit, Number System, Hardware Devices, Software, Memory, Networking, Internet, Programming Language, DBMS (only basic), Full Forms, etc.

Preparation
This is more or less a comprehensive list of topics that are required to be covered for details of computer knowledge. However, it has been reported that the questions will be basic in nature and candidates can follow any fundamental book for preparation. The best way to approach the questions is to look at the previous year question papers. One should devote at least one hour to preparing for the Computer section.
