The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is inviting applications from eligible candidates to fill up the posts for Assistants. Interested candidates can submit online applications from February 17 onwards. A total of 950 vacancies are going to be filled via this recruitment drive. The last date for completing the online registration process is March 08. Also, the RBI Assistant 2022 online examination is going to be held on March 26 and 27, 2022.
Vacancies
As mentioned already, a total of 950 vacancies are going to be filled via the RBI Assistant 2022 exam. There will be two phases for this exam. Candidates will be selected as per the preliminary and main examination followed by the Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The online application forms have to be submitted via the official website – rbi.org.in.

However, a detailed notification containing the state-wise vacancies is still awaited. In 2019, the official notification was released prior to the commencement of the application process. Since the application process for RBI Assistant 2022 will start from February 17, 2022; the detailed notification can be expected by tomorrow, i.e. February 16, 2022. Meanwhile, candidates can take a look at the previous year’s vacancies to have an idea about what they can expect this time.

For the 2019 recruitment, RBI had released the notification for a total of 926 vacancies. Since the number of vacancies for RBI Assistant 2022 is 950, therefore the state-wise vacancies will also differ in number. However, nothing can be ascertained until the official notification is out.
Eligibility Criteria
The applying candidate should be between 20 and 28 years of age. However, relaxation will be given in upper to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories. Moreover, they should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with an aggregate of 50% marks. The candidate must also have knowledge about word processing on the PC.
Application Process
To apply for RBI Assistant 2022, the candidate must first visit the official website – rbi.org.in. The link for ‘Recruitment for the post of Assistant’ will be activated on the stipulated date. There, they have to complete the registration process by clicking on New Registration. After successful registration, the provisional registration number and password will be generated. Before filling out the application forms, it is advised to keep the scanned copies of both photograph and signature ready.
