Railway Recruitment Cell, Western Central Railway (RRC WCR) has released the initial answer key of General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) along with a link to submit the objections against the answer key. Candidates have to submit the objections before September 28, 2019 at wcr.indianrailways.gov.in.
Not only answer key, but question paper with answers and responses have been released. Candidates can thus check all questions, their correct answers, and the options they had marked in exam.
To check WCR GDCE 2019 answer key and rest of the available details, candidates have to first go to wcr.indianrailways.gov.in. Click Railway Recruitment Cell under the image gallery. Then click GDCE notifications under menu. Then click GDCE notifications 2019. After that click the link against the notice “Question Paper, Responses and Keys & Raising of Objections if any to Questions/Options/Keys (CBTs held on 20.09.2019)”.
The next page contains important dates for viewing the answer key and submitting objections. Note that the objection window will close at 11.59 pm on the last date. Then click on login and enter employee ID and date of birth to login.
In order to raise objection, candidate has to select the question ID from the drop-down list. After that, select the type of objections – all options incorrect, incorrect / ambiguous question, multiple correct answers, incorrect answer key, translation error, repetition of question in the same set, any other mistake. Then furnish your reason or supporting references in the explanation box. In case you want to delete an objection, click on the delete icon available under the action tab to delete such objection.
The CBT test was held at two shifts, at September 20, 2019 for the posts of station master, senior commercial cum ticket clerk, commercial cum ticket clerk, goods guard, trains clerk, junior clerk cum typist. The exam was of 90 minutes containing 100 MCQs from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness. There was a negative marking of 1/3 marks for each incorrect answer.
After compiling the final answer key, RRC WCR will declare the results on its website. The qualifying candidates will be eligible for the next stage i.e aptitude test / document verification round as per their merit. During document verification the candidate has to bring all necessary documents in original.
After satisfactory document verification, candidate will have to pass the medical fitness test conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure that the candidates are medically fit to carry out the duties.
General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) in Western Central Railway, Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), is for a total of 270 vacancies. Out of which 68 are for station master post, 67 for senior commercial cum ticket clerk, 32 for commercial cum ticket clerk, 52 for goods guard, 07 for trains clerk, and 44 for junior clerk cum typist. Candidates selected for the post of station master, will be offered in a pay scale level 6, senior commercial cum ticket clerk and goods guard in a pay scale level 5, commercial cum ticket clerk in a pay scale level 3, trains clerk and junior clerk cum typist in a pay scale level 2.
