ESIC UDC Result, Cut Off 2019 announced for mains, 7837 shortlisted for skill test

Employees’ State Insurance Corporation has published result of UDC mains exam 2019.

Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has announced the result of phase 2 mains exam held for upper division clerk (UDC) today. They have published a list containing roll numbers of candidates from every region who has qualified for phase 3 skill test. Also, a notification with category wise qualifying marks has been published. 

Total 7,837 candidates have qualified for skill test. However result for Maharashtra is not yet announced, it will release after election process completes there; right now model code of conduct is applicable on the state.

As per the ESIC UDC result notification, the category wise qualifying marks and percentages are: UR and EWS: 45%, 90; OBC: 40%, 80; SC: 35%, 70; ST: 35%, 70; PWD: 30%, 60; EXS: 35%, 70. The region wise and category wise cut off marks have been given in annexure A of the notification. The same is reproduced below.

As can be seen, the highest cut off is of Punjab, at 129.75 (for UR). Whereas the lowest cut offs are in Chhattisgarh, and JnK, both have cut off as 109.25. For all the states the cut offs are as follows: Andhra Pradesh: 117.5, Bihar: 121.25, Chhatisgarh: 109.25, Delhi D(M)d: 111, Delhi Hqrs.: 117.5, Delhi Ro: 126.25, Goa: 111.25, Gujarat: 119, Himachal Pradesh: 116.75, J&k: 109.25, Jharkhand: 123, Karnataka: 115.75, Kerala: 123.5, Madhya Pradesh: 118.25, North East Regions: 114.5, Orissa: 121.5, Pudducherry: 118.25, Punjab: 129.75, Rajasthan: 119.5, Tamilnadu: 123.25, Telangana: 121.75, Uttar Pradesh: 123.25, Uttarakhand: 119, West Bengal: 120.75.

Candidature of four candidates have been cancelled because the exam conducting body found that there was a similar pattern of right and wrong answers in phase 2 exam. 

Up next is the computer skill test, qualifying in nature. It will have three components to it. First will be preparation of two powerpoint slides, carrying 10 marks. Then the second will be typing matter on MS word with formatting, for 20 marks. And the last would be preparation of table on excel with the use of formulae, for 20 marks. This 50 marks exam will have to be attempted in 30 minutes.

Such candidates who belong to PWD category, and are unable to type, will undergo a separate assessment. They will have an objective type computer test for 50 marks with 50 questions, without any negative marking. 

How to check ESIC UDC Result 2019?

To check result, go to esic.nic.in > recruitments > check result from the table. If you click the link “notice – result of udc phase-ii exam held on 1.09.2019 size:(349.87 kb)”, then the notification with cut off table and result statistics opens. And on clicking “display list of shortlisted candidates for udc phase-iii exam (region wise in roll number order) size:(184.14 kb)”, the result file with roll numbers of qualified candidates opens.

ESIC UDC recruitment 2019 is for 1709 vacancies. The skill test that will happen for UDC posts, same pattern applies to the skill test for stenographer posts. Stenographer positions were also announced with this recruitment; ESIC UDC Stenographer recruitment 2019 was announced for a total of 1870 vacancies.
