How can Class 12 Exams be conducted?
The sudden surge in the number of coronavirus cases led to the cancellation of CBSE Class 10 Examinations and the postponement of CBSE Class 12 Examinations. Apart from CBSE, many state boards including the PSEB also canceled their class 10 Exams and postponed Class 12 Exams.
Now, in the latest update, since the Central Board of Secondary Education stands firm on the decision to conduct Class 12 Exams, the central government has asked for a detailed suggestion from states over the same by May 25. The Punjab Govt has suggested conducting exams of 3 major subjects from each stream.
The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) can conduct Class 12 Exams next month i.e. in June 2021. Hindustan Times reported PSEB Chairman Yograj saying, “Though we are yet to decide on the dates due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we will be holding the exams for three compulsory subjects in each stream. The question papers are ready and answer sheets have been made available across 2,600 centers for the exams.” He added, “We will ensure social distancing at every exam center”.
