Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) will release the admit card for Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) today, on December 16, 2019. As per latest reports, the PSTET admit card 2018 of the December 2019 exam will be available for download from 3 pm today. All candidates who have applied for the exam, will be able to download the exam hall ticket from pstet.net.

It may be noted that initially the exam was supposed to be held on December 15, 2019, and the admit card was going to be released on December 9, 2019. Then the exam got postponed to December 22, 2019, and with it, the date of admit card issuance was postponed to today’s date. A few candidates reportedly contacted the exam conducting authorities and were told that the admit card download will be activated at around 3 pm. Candidates will need their registration number and password in order to login and get their call letters.

The official website of PSTET is pstet.net. On the website, in the menu, is a download section. There are four names under download, syllabus, NCTE notification update, NCTE notification dated 23rd August 2010, and e-admit card. In the form, one has to enter registered email ID, date of birth, mobile number, and option to get password and registration id on email, sms, display on screen. Candidates must enter details in the form exactly as they had entered in PSTET application form, in order to get the required login credentials.

The state level teacher eligibility test is being conducted as per the NCTE norms that require that candidates, in order to pursue a teaching career, must be a TET pass. Registrations for the exam were invited from November 3, 2019, and was available until December 3, 2019.

Just like CTET, PSTET will have two papers, I and II. PSTET paper I will be for classes I to V teaching aspirants, and PSTET II will be for classes VI to VIII aspiring teachers.

In paper I, there will be five sections namely child development and pedagogy, language 1, language 2, mathematics, environmental studies, with 30 questions each. Each question will carry 1 mark. Paper II will have four sections. First three will be child development and pedagogy, language 1, language 2 with 30 questions each.
