The result for the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) 2019 for the July session has been released on May 28, 2019 at 04:30 PM. The candidates can check their result online at pgimer.edu.in. The result is being announced for MD/MS July 2019 session.
To check the PGIMER result 2019, candidates need to visit the official website. On the home page of the website, the candidates need to click on the link under the Information to candidates section which says “Result for MD/MS July 2019 session”. In the next screen, candidates need to click on the relevant link for checking the result, Next, the candidates have to search their result by entering their roll number and date of birth. Click on the “Search” button to submit the details and in the next screen, your result will appear on the screen.
The entrance exam for PGIMER MD/MS was conducted on May 26, 2019. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be conducted on May 12 which was postponed to be conducted on May 26 on the pretext of Lok Sabha elections.
The link for checking the result is opening, however, it is taking some time to load. This may be happening due to some technical issues on the website. It may start working fine by the evening. However, it is advised to the candidates to keep calm and keep refreshing the link for checking the result or the candidates can also try checking their results 5-10 minutes later.
Now that the PGIMER 2019 Result is announced, the qualified candidates will be then eligible to appear for PGIMER 2019 Counseling. For MD/MS course, the cut-off percentile for Open (General) and Sponsored/Deputed is 55th percentile. Cut off for OBC, OPH, SC/ST, Rural Area, Foreign Nationals is 50th percentile and 45th percentile for Bhutanese Nationals.
In the case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the entrance exam, their tie is resolved by obtaining higher aggregate marks in the MBBS examination shall rank higher to a candidate who has obtained lower marks. If this also does not resolve the tie, then the candidate older in age will be considered for the merit.
The selection of a candidate for MD/MS courses is done on the basis of their merit in the entrance examination. There is no clinical or practical examination for this course. Candidates are finalized admission in the MD/MS course only after the counselling process is over.
