The wait of more than 1,70,000 students came to an end when the Punjab TET Exam results for Test – 1 and Test – 2 was declared. The Punjab TET result was declared on the official website. The Punjab TET is an examination conducted for the recruitment of teachers for primary (I – V) and elementary (VI – VIII) classes.
The responsibility to conduct the examination was on Punjab State Government with the coordination of Guru Nanak University. This year more than 1 Lakh students appeared for the examination but there were more than 1400 candidates from Ludhiana out of the grand total of 48,849 who skipped giving PSTET examination. The reason for skipping the examination is that the examination centers were as far as 40 Km on an average from the candidate’s residence.
The results for the Test – 1 and Test – 2 can be called not so good since only 14105 (28.87 %) candidates passed out of the total of 48849 and for Test – 2 only 43523 (35.14%) candidates 123856 got passed. Number speaks for themselves.
The results for the PSTET examination are valid for a period of 7 years. After that, the candidates will again have to appear for the examination. Candidates can secure a job after giving the PSCET examination at Punjab School Education Board. To be appointed as a teacher for 1st to 5th standard the candidates must clear PSTET – 1 and similarly to be appointed as a teacher for Classes 5th to 8th the candidates must pass in PSTET – 2
As the wait for PSPET 2018 Results has ended, candidates waiting patiently for the answer keys of the examination. The candidates shall be provided the answer key on the official website. This will be the official release and thus it is expected that it would be error-less. However, the candidates will be given the authority to challenge the answer key if they have any doubts about the correctness of an answer.
It is expected that the candidates will be required to wait for some time to get the answer key. The candidates must keep on checking for the official notification issued by the State council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Punjab for updates regarding the answer key.
