Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited is inviting applications from eligible and intending candidates to fill up vacancies for the post of Medical Officer. The vacancies are to be filled up on a contractual basis and appointed candidates will be paid fixed monthly consolidated salary in the range of Rs 72000-75000. As per the advertisement published by ONGC, 19 vacancies are available in all. 12 vacancies are available for the post of Field Medical Officer (FMO) and 06 vacancies are available for the post of General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO). In addition, 01 vacancy is also available for the post of Medical Officer (Occupational Health-OH). FMO post holders are entitled to receive consolidated emoluments of Rs 75000 per month. GDMO and Medical Officer (OH) post holders are entitled to receive a monthly fixed salary of Rs 72000. The engagement to the vacancies is to be done on a contractual basis until June 30, 2022.
Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions before applying for the recruitment. An MBBS degree is essential in order to apply for the recruitment. For the post of Medical Officer (OH) candidates having prior training in the field of OH or Public Health are preferred. In order to apply, must be registered with the Medical Council of India in order to apply. Candidates holding equivalent qualification are however not eligible to apply for the recruitment.
Selection of the candidates is to be done first on the basis of merit and thereafter through interview. 70 marks are allocated to qualifications of the candidate while 30 marks are allocated to the interview. Candidates can refer to the official notification for the detailed breakdown of the allocated marks. Candidates must secure at least 18 marks in the interview in order to qualify. However, SC/ST candidates can pass by scoring 12 marks. The interview may be held in person or through online modes. Candidates will be communicated in time regarding the method of conducting the interview and other details.
