Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha is likely to declare the class 10th result on June 30, 2021. As and when the result is announced, students can check it online from the board’s official website, bseodisha.ac.in or bseodisha.nic.in. The board has released the official notice on the tentative result date, and alternate assessment criteria for the 10th board exam canceled.
Since the class 10th board exams have been canceled amid the rising COVID19 situation across the nation, the board has decided that the assessment of the students will be done on the basis of their performance in class 9, class 10, as well as the performance of the school in the past four years, will be also be considered for preparing the result.
According to the official notice released, for the preparation of class 10th Matric Odisha Board results, the class 9 half-yearly, annual exam marks, and Class 10 practice test marks are considered. 40 percent weightage will be given to the highest marks obtained in Class 9 exams in each subject and 60 percent weightage to Class 10 practice tests. Moreover, the two highest marks in all subjects out of three practice tests conducted in Class 10th will be given a weightage of 30% each.
Marking Scheme and Assessment Criteria for Odisha Board exam is explained below.
#1. Class 9 half-yearly and annual exam marks and class 10 practice test are considered for Odisha board 10th exam result.
#2. Highest marks obtained in class 9th exam in each subject will be given 40% weightage.
#3. 60 percent weightage to be given for the practice tests conducted in class 10th.
#4. Two highest marks obtained in class 10 practice tests will be given 30 percent each weightage.
The board has also asked the schools to upload marks of class 9 and class 10 students so that the school-wise merit list can be prepared by the board. The Odisha Board 10th exams were scheduled to be conducted from May 3 to May 15. Additionally, students who are not satisfied with the marks obtained will have an option to appear for the offline exams, as per the dates decided by the Board after the COVID-19 situation gets better.
