The National Council For Hotel Managment And Catering Technology (NCHMCT) has published an official notification in which it has stated that the NCHM JEE 2019 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It has also been tentatively announced that the examination will be conducted on April 27, 2019, in 33 or more cities of the country. Aspirants willing to take the NCHMCT JEE 2019 examination can start applying for the same from January 15, 2019.
The major changes brought by NTA this year is that the entrance exam will be conducted in online mode. Till last year the examination was conducted in pen paper mode. Although this change has no effect on the examination pattern or its syllabus. The examination will consist of 200 questions that are to be completed in the 03 hours time. There will be a total of 5 subjects, Numerical Ability, and Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English Language, Aptitude for Service Sector.
The applicants can fill the application form online only. To fill in the application form, a candidate will have to visit the official website of NTA that is nta.ac.in. To appear for the entrance exam, the aspirants have to register first and then proceed to fill in details in the NCHMCT JEE 2019 Application Form. Only once the aspirant successfully registers for the entrance exam, the candidates will receive their login credentials. To register online, the aspirant will have to provide the information required such as name, date of birth, number and email id.
The application form for NCHMCT JEE 2019 consist of three major steps that is to provide personal information, education qualification details, communication details, etc. The candidates will then have to upload a photograph and signature of themselves in the second step of the application process. The final step of application form filling is to pay the application fee. As per the information provided on the official website of NTA, there shall be no change in the amount of the application fee and it shall be paid through online mode only. Hence, to submit the NCHMCT JEE 2019 Application form, the candidate need to pay an amount of Rs.800/- for General and OBC categories and Rs.400/- for SC and PwD categories.
There is also a scheme for direct admission to IHMs for rank holding candidates from a recognized board of secondary examination. Each IHM will have 3 seats for rank holding candidates form each stream that is science, arts, and commerce. This scheme is only applicable for Indian Nationals.
Direct admission to BSc HHA is also offered to Foreign Nationals (FN), Non-Resident Indians (NRI) and Person of Indian Origin (PIO or Overseas Citizen of India) students. Such candidates need not require to appear for NCHMCT JEE 2019.
NCHM JEE as we know is conducted for providing candidates admission to more than 63 IHMs that are for both government and private, for a 3 years course in B.Sc (Hospitality and Hotel Administration) Programme. Therefore, candidates willing to take up Hotel management as a career after 10+2 must apply for NCHM JEE 2019.
