NTA NEET UG 2021 Admit Card: Undertaking, Photograph, Instructions, Dress Code in Hall Ticket

With just 5 days left for the exam, candidates have much more to worry about other apart from successfully downloading and printing their admit cards.

NTA NEET UG 2021 Admit Card

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit cards for the National Eligibility Entrance Examination (NEET) 2021. Candidates who had registered for the national level medical entrance exam can download their admit cards from the official website neet.nta.nic.in. The NEET UG exam is scheduled to be conducted on September 12, 2021. With just 5 days left for the exam, candidates have much more to worry about other apart from successfully downloading and printing their admit cards. Here are all the important details to keep in mind before the exam day –

What is meant by Undertaking?

While downloading their NEET 2021 admit cards, candidates will find a declaration form along with important questions and instructions at the bottom of the admit card. Here, the declaration or undertaking is a statement to ensure that candidates are aware of the COVID-19 guidelines issued by the government as well as the notices published by the NTA.

Candidates must also tick all the flu-like symptoms which they have been experiencing in the last 14 days.

Questions in the undertaking

  1. That I have read the instructions, guidelines and relevant orders pertaining to COVID-19 pandemic. I have read information bulletin, instructions and notices related to the website neet.nta.nic.in.
  2. I have in the last 14 days (please tick, wherever it is applicable to you, otherwise leave blank) :
    a) the following flu-like symptoms:
    Fever / Cough / Breathlessness / Sore throat / Runny Nose / Body ache / Others- Please specify
    b) been in close contact with a confirmed case of the COVID-19 (“Close contact” means being at less than one meter for more than 15 minutes.)
    c) not been in close contact with a person suffering from COVID-19 and am NOT under mandatory quarantine:
    d) travelled the following cities/ countryin the last 14 days prior to arriving at the Centre

Answers to the above

  1. No answer needed

  2. a) If you have any of the symptoms, tick it. Else leave blank.
    b) Select yes if you were in touch with such a person, else no.
    c) Select yes if you were not in touch with such a person and not in quarantine. Select no if you were in touch with such a person and are in quarantine.
    d) Select a city you travelled.

It is important for all candidates to fill this undertaking at least before reaching the NEET 2021 exam centre. Aspirants with incomplete application forms may not be permitted to appear for the exam.

Dimensions of photograph to be pasted in NEET 2021 admit card

Apart from filling the declaration, aspirants are also required to paste their postcard-size (4” x 6”) photograph in their NEET 2021 admit card. This photograph must be the same as uploaded during the application process. Here again, the photograph must be pasted on the admit card before reaching the exam centre along with adding the left thumb impression. During the actual exam, both the invigilator and the student has to sign across the photograph, as per NTA’s instructions Hence, photograph is an important element of the admit card.

Instructions to follow at the exam centre

The NEET 2021 admit card contains a set of instructions which have to be followed by each aspirant at the exam centre. These instructions pertain to the reporting time, decorum at the exam centre, pages included in the admit card, documents which need to be carried and items which are strictly prohibited. Below are the detailed instructions which need to be followed by the aspirant –

Documents to carry to the NEET 2021 exam centre

Candidates appearing for the NEET 2021 exam are instructed to carry ONLY the following documents to the allotted exam centre –

# Admit Card with passport-size or postcard-size picture affixed on it.

#2 An extra passport-size picture, same as pasted on the admit card.

#3 Valid photo ID proof and PwD certificate (if applicable).

Dress code to follow at the NEET 2021 exam centre

According to the NEET 2021 information bulletin, here are the instructions that candidates need to follow in terms of dress code –

# Light clothes having long sleeves are not permitted (except in case of cultural or religious dress).

# Candidates have to reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes prior for proper frisking and document verification, avoiding any inconvenience and maintaining the sanctity of the exam.

#Footwear such as slippers, scandals or heels are not permitted.
