National Testing Agency (NTA) has conducted the JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 exam on January 08, 2019 in 2 shifts. On January 19, 2019, while declaring the result of paper 1, NTA quoted in the notification that – “NTA Score for Paper-II (B.Arch. & B. Planning) will be declared later on.” However, in the information brochure, it is clearly mentioned that the JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Result will be available by January 31, 2019.
The candidates who had appeared for the paper 2 exam are restless about their result. There has been no update as of now about the result declaration. NTA is nor replying the inquiries made over emails and the calls are being not answered.
In the information brochure, the following is said about the Paper 2 Result:
Now that the exam for paper 2 has been held in 2 shifts, there will be no raw scores but the NTA score (normalized score) will be made available. This has been clearly mentioned in the notice that came out on January 19, 2019, with the paper 1 result.
Now the candidates who are patiently waiting for their JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Result for B.Arch/B.Plan admission needs to keep visiting the official website, jeemain.nic.in, for any notice regarding the results. However, it is likely that the result will be made available by the end of today, i.e. by the midnight.
Probable reason For Delay In Paper 2 Result Evaluation: This might be because the 3 questions in Part III of the Paper 2 exam was held in offline mode – drawing.
Compilation Of JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Result
The result for the paper 2 exam will contain the normalized marks of the raw scores in all the three sections separately and also the normalized score of the total raw marks. This is because, unlike NTA’s expectation, the JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 exam was conducted in 2 shifts.
What is NTA Score (Normalised score)?: Normalization is done to scrap any uneven level of difficulty among various shifts of examination. It depicts how many students that have appeared in your shift have scored less than or equal to you.
The formula used for calculating the normalized score (NTA score) is as follows:
Candidate’s Percentile Score = (100 X Total number of candidates who have appeared in the “session” with the raw score equal to less than the candidate’s) ÷ Total number of the candidates appeared in the ‟Session‟.
