National Board of Examinations (NBE) has declared NEET PG 2019 Result at 04:45 PM, on January 31, 2019. The Board has announced the result online, on nbe.edu.in and natboard.edu.in. The result has been announced as mark sheet-cum-result certificate. The candidates must download and save it because no offline copy of it will be provided by NBE.
The candidates can check their result for NEET PG 2019 and download the score by visiting the official website. On the homepage of the website, click on the relevant link for checking the result. It is available in the pdf format and consist of roll number, marks out of 1200, and All India rank of the candidates.
With the result of NEET PG 2019, the cut off has also been announced. It has increased for all the categories. For UR category, last year the cut off was 321 but this year it increased by 19 marks and is 340. For OBC/SC/ST category, this year the cut off is 295, which was 281 previous year. For General-PH category, the cut off has been increased to 317 which was 300 last year.
The score for NEET PG 2019 is calculated as per the marking scheme given by NBE. For every correct answer 04 marks have been awarded and for the wrong answer, 01 marks have been deducted.
The merit list has been prepared after applying the tie-breaker rules. Candidates whose name is included in the Merit List will be then eligible to participate in the NEET PG 2019 Counselling. The counseling for All India 50% quota seats and State quota seats will be conducted separately. The information for counseling on All India quota seats will be available on the NBE website only, while information for counseling on State quota seats will be issued by respective state authorities
NBE is responsible for only conducting the entrance exam.declaration of the result and handling of the result to the counseling conducting authorities, MCC, DGHS, MoHFW. NBE also conducts other entrance exams like National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Post Graduate (NEET-PG), NEET MDS, Foreign Medical Graduate Examination FMGE, and DNB Post Diploma CET (DNB-PDCET).
The result for NEET PG 2019 is valid for only for the current admission session i.e. 2019 admission session for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses and cannot be carried forward for the next session. Furthermore, there is no provision for rechecking/ re-evaluation/ re-totaling of the result/marks and no query in this regard will be entertained by NBE.
The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) institutions will publish the notification for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma seats, after the declaration of NEET PG 2019 Result. The candidates had to select the option to opt for PG Courses in Armed Forces Medical Services institutions in the NEET PG 2019 Application Form.
NEET PG is a national level entrance exam for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses. No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses. NEET PG is a mandatory entrance exam even for foreign nationals seeking admission in PG medical courses in India. NEET PG 2019 has been conducted on January 06, 2019. As per the newspaper reports, in total 1, 48,000 candidates appeared for the NEET PG 2019 across 165 cities.
