National Institue of Technology, Rourkela is looking for eligible candidates to fill up the vacant posts of Junior Research Fellow. The official notification in this regard has been released on the NIT Rourkela website, nitrkl.ac.in. As per the notification, only 01 vacancies are out for the said post. For recruitment as JRF, an online interview will be conducted on September 30, 2020. Candidates have to report at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, NIT Rourkela sharp at 09:00 AM for the interview.
Applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow can be submitted on or before August 27, 2020. The selection for the interview round is purely based on the eligibility criteria. Those who fulfill the eligibility are called for the interview. To apply, candidates must possess M. Sc. / M. Tech in Engineering / Science (Mathematics at 10+2 standard) with a minimum of 65% marks or 7.0 CGPA. Valid NET / GATE / JEST Score is an essential qualification.
The post of Junior Research Fellow is announced for the project titled “Probing the structure and dynamics of differently Cross-linked gellan gum hydrogels”. The project is led by Professor Sidhartha S. Jena. All the recruitment process is organized under him. Shortlisted candidates are enrolled under the Ph. D Programme in the Department of Physics & Astronomy, National Institute of Technology Rourkela. The project is sponsored by UGC-DAE Consortium of Scientific Research, Mumbai, UGC-DAE Consortium of Scientific Research, Mumbai.
Their initial tenure for the project is for a period of 01 years followed by 01 years of assignment. Both of these tenures may get extended up to 03 years on the basis of the satisfactory performance. During this tenure, they receive a monthly salary of Rs. 31,000/- with valid NET / GATE / JEST or Rs. 14,000/- per month for Non – NET / GATE / JEST fellow. During their service period, they have to wok on research work, have to travel of BARC to carryout Neutron scattering experience.
