National Health Mission, Assam is inviting online applications for the certificate-cum-recruitment program. Candidates are requested to submit the online application for the certificate course after which candidates are shortlisted for the Health Care Wellness Centres. There are a total of 660 seats for the eligible candidates under this recruitment. Candidates who are shortlisted for the post of CHOs receive the Rs.25,000/- and Rs.15,000/- per month incentive based on performance. Interested candidates can submit their online applications by visiting the official website, nhm.assam.gov.in. The last date for he submission of the form is July 20, 2020.
To apply, candidates must have B.Sc.(Nursing)/Post Basic B. Sc Nursing, Registered Nurse Registered Midwife (RRM) from a recognized institute/B.Sc in Nursing/GMN Course. Along with this, they must be registered with Assam Nurses Midwives’ & Health Visitors’ Council. Those candidates who are working on a contractual basis with NHM, Assam are also eligible for the post. Aspirants who fulfil the eligibility criteria should make sure that their age does not exceed the maximum age limit of 35 years. The upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST up to 40 years.
In addition to the educational qualification and age limit, NHM Assam has prescribed some additional eligibility as well. Candidates must be proficient in regional/local language and dialect. They must have work experience in Public Health System. Those who have work experience in Primary/Community Health Center level are preferred.
The submission of the application form is conducted at the official website, nhm.assam.gov.in. Candidates can get the link to apply online under recruitment > National Health Mission, Assam > Apply Online. The registration number that is generated after the successful registration must be kept safe until the recruitment process ends. Candidates have to upload mark sheets of last Qualifying Exam, Provisional/Final Degree/Diploma Certificate, Registration Certificate/Council Registration Certificate, copy of Appointment Letter for NHM (in-service) candidates, Age proof certificate.
For the selection, candidates have to first complete the 06 months certificate course and secure certificate from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Then they have to appear for the screening process. Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of aggregate scores in their last qualifying exam. Right after the selection, candidates have to sign a surety bond. After successful completion of the certificate course, candidates are posted at Health & Wellness Centres, Sub Centers as Community Health Officer (CHO) in Assam. The candidates to perform duty as a leader of frontline workers such as Female Health Workers (ANMs), Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) and Male Health Worker (MPW).
