Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) is looking for eligible candidates for the post of Senior Resident Doctor and Junior Resident Doctor. An official notification carrying all the important information is recently published in the NLC website, nlcindia.com. NLC has announced a total of 25 vacancies for the aforementioned posts. Online application portal for this recruitment starts from September 03, 2020 onwards. Applications for the vacant posts are invited on or before the last date, September 16, 2020.
The announced post of Senior Resident Doctor and Junior Resident Doctor is purely on contractual period. They are recruited for a period of 03 years in 350 bedded General Hospital at Neyveli. Candidates who are appointed as Senior Resident post receives a monthly salary of Rs. 75,000/-, Rs. 85,000/- and Rs. 95,000/- for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year respectively. Similarly, those recruited as Junior Resident post gets a monthly salary of Rs. 60,000/-, Rs. 65,000/- and Rs. 70,000/- for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year respectively.
To apply for Senior Resident post, candidates must have passed MBBS with completion of CRRI. In addition, candidates with PG degree/ Diploma in General Surgery/ General Surgery/ Emergency Medicine/ Diabetology/ Pediatrics/ Orthopedics/ ENT/ Obstetrics and Gynecology/ Radiology/ Ophthalmology/ Psychiatry/ Anesthesiology/ Geriatric Medicine are also eligible. Candidates who have passed MBBS with completion of CRRI can apply for Junior Resident Doctor post. Moreover, the degree and Diploma must be registered with the Medical Council of India/ State Medical Council.
The age limit for Junior Resident post for Unreserved/ EWS category candidates is 28 years, for OBC (NCL) is 31 years and for SC/ST is 33 years. Likewise, the upper age limit to apply for Senior Resident post for Unreserved/ EWS category is 30 years, for OBC (NCL) is 33 years and SC/ST is 35 years.
Applications for the said posts can only be submitted through online mode by visiting nlcindia.com. No manual or paper applications are accepted. Moreover, Unreserved/ EWS/ OBC (NCL) candidates have to pay Rs. 854/- and SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen candidates have to pay Rs. 354/- as the application fee. Once candidates have submitted their application form they must take a clear print out of the same as it is required for the interview.
Candidates are selected as Senior Resident/ Junior Resident post based on the personal interview. As per the notification, the interview round is continued for 20 marks. The minimum qualifying marks will be 50% for Unreserved and EWS candidates and 40% marks SC/ST/OBC (NCL). The final selection for the announced post will be on the basis of the merit only. Also, a merit list for the same is prepared based on the personal interview only.
