NEET PG 2022

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is all set to conduct the NEET PG 2022 examination on May 21, 2022. Presently, the edit window for making corrections in the application form has opened today and will remain available till April 07, 2022. For making corrections, candidates have to visit the official website nbe.edu.in.

That being said, applicants are left with approximately 50 days to prepare for the NEET PG 2022 examination. Hence, they must make the best use of the remaining time to prepare and crack the examination. So, here are some tips and tricks that can help average students to score more than 650 on the exam.

Review GTs

The candidate should be serious about the Grand Tests (GTs). Every GT should simulate the real exam and candidates should make it a point to review them very well. Importantly, one should have accountability for each and every question they are marking incorrect or unable to answer. The best way to assess one’s weak areas is through GTs.

Stick to the notes

It is advised to not deviate from one’s notes. Candidates should try to assimilate the notes as much as they can. The more one reads from the same notes, the better they are going to perform in the exam. In this way, they will be able to curb their mistakes.

PYQs are important

One cannot and importantly should not miss out on any of the previous year’s question papers. With every passing year, the question paper is becoming more of decision-making. Hence, candidates should know how to integrate pharma with medicine, pathology with surgery or anatomy with ortho (for example). There could be questions from a medicine scenario but the candidate may be required to answer that with their pharma knowledge.

Outlook matters

The perspective of the candidate while studying should be such that they focus more on treating the patient and not mainly the disease since a single patient can have different diseases. Candidates who are somewhat well prepared for the exam can now move ahead to first aid and spend at least three days reading.

No new sources

If one has sufficiently revised and gone through the notes then it does not mean that they should try out new sources. This is a very unhealthy practice and is not recommended by the experts. However, if a candidate is weak in a particular topic, then they can always look up on that. Also, having main focus on the previous year topics is very important.
