National Board of Examinations (NBE) will conduct National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Post Graduate (NEET PG) 2021 on September 11, 2021. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has just now made this important announcement. He has conveyed the news via twitter, at his official handle @mansukhmandaviya.
The minister tweeted: “We have decided to conduct #NEET Postgraduate exam on 11th September, 2021. My best wishes to young medical aspirants!“.

It is expected that NBE will publish an official notice about it shortly at nbe.edu.in. Nevertheless, the date is official, and PG medical aspirants can set their course for last two months revision now.
With the new exam date in hand, the next order of business will be issuance of admit card. When initially the exam date was going to be April 18, 2021, the admit card was released on April 13, 2021. Now as per the new exam date, it is expected that the hall ticket will be available around September 06, 2021.
Candidates’ Reactions on NEET PG 2021 Exam Date Announcement
The responses to the minister’s tweet on NEET PG 2021 revised exam date announcement is a mixed bag. While some are glad that the date is out, others have opined that the date could be in the midst of the third wave. Another set of respondents have urged the minister to look into other exam dates.
Happy tweeters said, “Great decision sir.. Thanks for understanding the crisis situation of resident doctors in medical institutions across India.” Another chimed in “Nice decision. Students were looking forward to it. Most have been vaccinated. They will be available to serve the nation as well after registering for PG… Kindly do not reschedule this exam again. Thanks“
Some candidates have come up with concerns of the exam date falling within their tenure of completion of 100 day COVID duty. One such tweet says ” Sir, I’m currently doing covid Duty under government, I will be completing my 100 days of covid Duty by August 25. And I sincerely requesting you guys to give at least 30 days from August 31, as you promised. Lot of doctors have the same issue.“
One tweet points out that after the exam, results should be expedited. The tweet reads “sir please ensure faster result and counseling process after exam as exam is delayed by 8 months and that will require active pre planning by NMC and NBE as we junior residents are already over worked underpaid and unrecognised doctors.“
Another student, unrelated to NEET PG exams, says, “Sir please postpone JEE mains and cbse private boards exams.we can’t handle this pressure .In this Covid-19 situation exams means sending us into mouth of death“.
