National Board of Examinations (NBE) will release the admit card of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Post Graduate (NEET PG) 2020 on Saturday, December 28, 2019. The admit card is going to be available for download eight days prior to the exam. The exam is scheduled to be held on Sunday, January 5, 2020.
Here are the 10 things you should know about NEET PG 2020 admit card, the exam, and their related information.
First is that NBE will release the admit card in online mode, at nbe.edu.in. Candidates who have applied for the PG medical entrance exam need to go to the said website, click the red button NEET-PG and then click the application login button. No separate link will be provided, it will be through the login link only that one has to download admit card.
Second is the login details for this exam. For NEET PG 2020, login details are two, user ID and password. The login page contains links for forgot password and change password. To do either action, user ID is required.
Third is the notice that releases on the day admit card is published. NBE has already released NEET MDS 2020, PDCET 2020, and FMGE Dec 2019 admit cards. On the same day, that there call letters were made available, NBE published a notice with some instructions. It is expected that the board will do the same for NEET PG 2020 also, and candidates must read the notice for important instructions related to the exam.
Fourth is the list of documents required for exam. On the day of exam, medical aspirants are required to carry a printout of the admit card with their photo, and any one of the authorized photo ids. Authorized photo ids include PAN card, voters id card, driving license, passport, aadhaar card.
Fifth is regarding matching of names. Candidate’s name in the photo identification must match with that in the admit card. If name has been changed in the interim duration, then relevant certificate to prove the name change, like marriage certificate, divorce decree, legal name change document must be brought to the exam.
Candidates will be allowed to enter the exam centre to start with the biometric registration process from 1:30 pm on the exam day. Entry to the center will be stopped at 3 pm. Candidates will then get access to login at 3:15 pm, at their assigned systems. At 3:20 pm, test takers can login to read instructions. From 3:30 pm, exam will commence, and it will end at 7 pm.
NEET PG 2020 will be held as a computer based test with 300 multiple choice questions. There will be three parts A, B, C with 50, 100, 150 MCQs respectively. Part A will have 17 anatomy, 17 physiology, and 16 biochemistry questions. Part B will have 25 pathology, 20 pharmacology, 20 microbiology, 10 forensic medicine, 25 social and preventive medicine questions. Then part C will have 45 general medicine including dermatology and venerelogy and psychiatry, 45 general surgery including orthopedics anesthesia and radio diagnosis, 30 obstetrics and gynecology, 10 paediatrics, 10 ENT, and 10 ophthalmology questions. For each correct answer, four marks will be awarded, and for incorrect answers, negative marking will be to the tune of 25%.
Result will be declared by January 31, 2020.
