NEET 2022 is going to be held soon for candidates aspiring to pursue a career in the field of medicine and physiology. Every year lakhs of candidates appear for the exam owing to the high difficulty level questions asked in the examination. Although, questions from three subjects are asked in the NEET exam Biology is one of the vital subjects in the NEET UG exam.

The reason for Biology being the toughest nut to crack in the examination is its vast syllabus that is completely theory-based. Biology has two sub-sections i.e. Botany and Zoology, and candidates often fail to plan for them properly leading to their failure. Hence, we have come up with important preparation tips that are going to be helpful in acing the NEET 2022 exam with full marks:

#1 Candidates should keep in mind that the NEET exam has questions based on both class 11 and 12 syllabi. For the year 2021, 51% weightage was given to class 11th topics and 49% to class 12th syllabus. Similarly, in 2020, 48% was given to class 11 topics and the rest was for class 12th. Hence, considering this shift candidates must try to dedicate 50% to both the classes from day one such that they are ready to face any situation.

#2 Another thing that candidates must do is to go through the previous year’s papers of NEET UG and check the weightage of the questions for Botany and Zoology as well. This comprehensive analysis can also give an important cue about chapters that are repetitively asked, or focused more upon in the NEET 2022 exam.

#3 It is advisable to follow the divide and learn policy while preparing for the Biology section. It is well-known that the syllabus is very vast with multiple terms that are often hard to remember. We advise picking up one hard and one easy topic to make a balance between the preparations. Like if you are picking Animal Kingdom for Zoology, then pick an easier topic like Cells for Botany. We all know the animal kingdom is one of the heftiest chapters due to the numerous scientific and common names it has for every sub-species. Picking an easier topic in the Botany section will cut down the extra burden on the student.

#4 Previously, a lot of NEET toppers have shared their success stories wherein they have talked about the basic tips and tricks they have followed to ace the examination. Candidates can check them out on the streaming platform Youtube, and can inculcate some of those tips in their preparation journey.

#5 As we know, Animal and the Plant Kingdom are very lengthy and hard to remember topics thanks to the plethora of concepts, scientific names, etc. The only solution to tackle these topics are making revision cards. Prepare short cards and paste them on your study table, or anywhere where you visit often. In this, revision becomes quite easy and manageable for these two topics.
