NEET 2021 Exam Date

National Testing Agency (NTA) is soon expected to announce the exam date for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2021. While the application form is yet to be released, speculations are soaring that the national-level medical entrance exam shall most likely get postponed. While that’s a relief for students, the exam might just get delayed by a month or so. This is to not create any further delay in the admission process for the upcoming academic year 2021-22.

The uncertainty surrounding the exams is creating a turmoil of doubts and stress among NEET 2021 aspirants. Clubbing this with the pandemic tension and justifiably so, students shall not be left with any motivation to study for the entrance exam. So, while the wait continues, here are some important tips to stay motivated –

# Creating a timetable or study schedule.

A proper NEET 2021 study schedule for the next 2 months shall help students remain focused. This schedule shall provide a path for students to follow, especially during such uncertain times. Hence, the first step to stay motivated is to create a suitable study schedule to ensure that the exam preparation does not dwindle. Moreover, candidates must aim to follow this schedule till the very end. Consistency is what matters!

# Keeping a positive outlook by weaning away from negative news.

The negativity and speculations surrounding the NEET 2021 examination is enough to pump-in negativity among students. This negativity can directly affect the student’s preparation. So, to maintain a positive outlook, candidates avoid such news articles or rumours. Instead, they must continue with their preparation and wait for NTA to announce its decision. A few minutes of recreation in-between studies shall also prove helpful.

# Not feeling guilty about being less productive.

As mentioned before, NEET 2021 is all about following a suitable schedule consistently. However, at times, candidates cannot finish the target assigned for the day because, 1. They don’t have the mental/physical energy and, 2. They are not feeling motivated. Under such a mindset, students must appreciate and console themselves rather than guilt-trapping. As the saying goes, something is always better than nothing. Hence, if candidates had planned the target to finish three Physics chapters and two Biology chapters but could only finish one Physics and one Biology chapter, then it’s okay. However, they must make sure to wake up the next day with a fresh mind and start working hard again.

# Always keeping the exam countdown in mind.

Let’s assume that NEET 2021 shall be conducted in September. Hence, candidates have more than 2 months left to prepare for the exam. Rather than stressing about the limited time, students can use this countdown to motivate themselves. They can maintain a small calendar and strike out the days left to give the exam and finally, get the freedom that they wanted. Of course, the pressure of the number of days left can also boost students to work harder, for a longer duration of time. In the end, it’s all about perspective.

# Loving the preparation process.

The last golden tip to maintain preparation morale is to love the process of NEET 2021 preparation. Rather than considering it mundane, students must start enjoying the process. They can start by revising their favourite or simpler chapters. Slowly and gradually, they must start studying the difficult chapters. For example, a student who loves the Human Physiology Chapters can start revising them before preparing the Plant Physiology chapters. Students can always tweak their preparation strategy to get motivated, especially when the wait for the revised NEET 2021 date is never-ending.

Stay motivated and continue to work hard!
