National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced NEET 2020 result today online, on ntaneet.nic.in. It has been released in the form of scorecard. Along with it, cut off and rank is also released. Candidates who clear NEET cut off are called for MCC counselling for 15% all India quota seats.
To check NEET result, candidates need to visit the official website and click on the link for NEET result. On doing so, a login appears on the screen. To access it, candidates need to enter roll number and date of birth. Following this, scorecard is displayed on the screen.
In the result of NEET, percentile score, raw marks out of 720, all India rank, cut off, details of the candidates, and few instructions are given. The rank of NEET is provided at all India level and category wise. It is determined on the basis of percentile score and cut off. candidates who score more than the cut off are eligible for 15% all India quota counselling.
The dates for NEET 15% all India quota counselling are also expected to be announced today or in 2 – 3 days. The counselling will be held by MCC, at mcc.nic.in. The counselling for rest of the 85% seats will be filled by the states in the state counselling.
NEET 2020 was held twice on September 13 an October 14, 2020. Here are few States for NEET 2020:

NEET 2021 Date
NTA conducts NEET in the first Sunday of May. Hence, it is expected that NEET 2021 will be held on May 02, 2020. However, officially the dates are yet to be released.
P.S: NEET 2020 was due to the pandemic. Initially, it was also scheduled to be held on May 03, 2020.
Validity of NEET 2020 Result
The result of NEET 2020 is only valid for 1 year. Through NEET 2020 result, candidates can only take admission in 2021-21 session. For admission, for next session candidates will have to appear for NEET 2021. However, the result of NEET for admission aboard is valid for 3 years.

NTA will release final answer key of NEET 2020 with the result. It will be released as pdf, for all the paper codes. The result of NEET is prepared on the basis of NEET final answer key. Students cannot challenge it.
No ESIC quota for NEET UG 2020-2021
Medical Education Cell, ESIC, has announced cancellation of ESIC reservations for NEET 2020-21. In the official notice, the authority has informed that seats filled in previous year under IP quota would be filled by DGHS, GoI, as All Inida Quota Seats. The official notice is as below:

what is the Process for NEET 2020 Counselling?
The NEET 2020 counselling is also held online, in 2 rounds. MCC also hold one mop round to fill the vacant seats. The process of NEET MCC counselling for 15% all India quota seats is as follows:
Step 1 - The candidates need to register online and submit the choice for the course and the college.
Step 2 - On the basis of the submitted choices and the rank of the candidate, a seat allotment is done.
Step 3 - Lastly, candidates need to report at the allocated institute and get the process of document verification done.

NEET 2020 Tie Breaking Criteria
While determining the rank, if there is a tie then NTA uses tie breaking method to break it. The tie breaking method is as follows:
- First the marks in NEET Biology paper are checked
- If the tie is not broken, then marks in NEET 2020 Chemistry paper are considered
- If the above is also not sufficient to break the tie, then less incorrect marks are checked
- Lastly, on the basis of age, elder candidate get the rank
NEET 2020 Result Expected to be Out at 4 PM

What is 15% all India Quota Seats?
Out of all the MBBS / BDS seats in India, 15% are filled via centralized counselling process. These are called as 15% all India quota seats. The counselling is conducted my Medical Counselling Committee, in online mode. This gives student of every state a chance to get admission in best colleges.
The rest of the 85% seats are filled via state counselling, conducted by the designated state authority.
How is NEET 2020 Percentile Score and Rank Calculated?
The percentile score in NEET are calculate on the basis raw marks. It is indicates the number of candidates who scored more and less than the candidate. To calculate it, following formula is used -
100 x Number of candidates appeared with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than the candidate

Rank on the other hand is calculated on the basis of percentile score and cut off. Candidates who score more than the cut off, become eligible for 15% all India quota seats.

How NTA Calculates Raw Marks in NEET
The marks in NEET 2020 are calculated on the basis of the marking scheme, which is
- Add 4 marks for each correct answer.
- Deduct 1 marks for each incorrect answer.
- Deduct 1 marks if more than 1 circle is darkened for a question.
On the basis of this, marks of the candidates are allotted and calculated.

NEET 2020 Result is Only Announced Online!
NTA only announces NEET result online, on the official website - ntaneet.nic.in. However, the notice for the release of the result is also uploaded at nta.ac.in. Other than this, there is no other way via which candidates can check NEET 2020 result. It is not send via sms or e-mail to the candidates.
NEET 2020 Result Time
NTA has not announced any time for NEET 2020 result. However, last year, the result was announced round 1.40 PM. It has also been observed that NTA usually announces result between 12 to 2 pm or 6 to 8 pm, or after 11 pm. This year, result of JEE Main was announced around 11 pm.
