Admit Card of NEET 2019

National Testing Agency (NTA) released the admit card of National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test-2019 on April 15, 2019, at 9 PM. Students reported that the admit cards downloaded between 9 PM to 10 PM showed exam date to be April 15, 2019, whereas the actual exam date is May 05, 2019.

NTA was quick to rectify the error. Within an hour, the Agency uploaded the NEET 2019 admit card with correct exam date. All the students who had downloaded the admit card before 10 PM, should download it again. Check that all details are correct in it. In case any candidate is not able to download his/her e-Admit card, he/she may send email to [email protected]

The incorrect exam date created panic among the students, who took to social media to find the root of the matter. Now that it is clear that NEET 2019 will be held on May 05, 2019, the candidates are focusing on preperation and discussing sample questions, previous year questions, important topics, and more.

The exam will begin at 2:00 pm and will end at 5:00 pm. Candidates should appear for the exam at allocated exam center only. At the exam center, the authorities will check NEET admit card. Candidates have to carry it in print format, with a photo affixed on it.

Along with the admit card of NEET, the candidates also need to carry one valid id proof like aadhar card, voter id card, pan card, passport, etc. and one photograph. The photo has to be pasted on the attendance sheet.

NEET is a national level examination. It will be held in 154 cities. This is for the first time when NEET will be conducted by NTA. Until now, CBSE was holding the examination. The exam will be held in offline mode and it will be of 3 hours.

The candidates will have to solve 180 multiple choice questions on zoology, botany, physics, and chemistry. In all, 90 questions will be from zoology and botany and 45 questions each will be asked from physics and chemistry. The marking scheme in the exam is +4 for the correct answer and -1 for an incorrect answer.

National Testing Agency (NTA) is a new exam conducting body in India. It was propounded in 2017 and since then, NTA has taken over the responsibility to hold NEET, JEE Main, CMAT, GPAT, UGC NET, ICAR AIEEA, JUNEE, etc. The objective of the body is to improve the quality of assessment levels in India. After numerous fiascos by various boards, Govt. established NTA as a body dedicated to conducting entrance exams in India.
