7,14,562 Candidate Qualify NEET 2018; Girls Perform Better Than Boys

After much excitement and nerve wrecking wait among the candidates who have appeared for NEET 2018, the final moment of Result declaration was on June 04, 2018. CBSE has declared the result of NEET 2018 today at 12:15 PM. And this year Girls have outshined the boys. The AIR 1 is bagged by a female candidate from Bihar – Kalpana Kumari. Her overall percentile is 99.99%. She has scored 691/720. This year 7,14,562 candidates have qualified the examination out of 12,69,922 candidates who have taken the examination on May 06, 2018.

As per the official data, out of 7,46,075 girl candidates, 4,02,162  have qualified the examination. Whereas in case of boys out of 5,80,649 candidates, 3,12,399 have been able to qualify NEET 2018. Whereas this year the number of candidates registering for NEET 2018 has increased by 16.49% as compared to last year. 13,26,725 candidates had registered and out of which 12,69,922 had appeared in the examination.

Also, one candidate from the transgender category had registered for the examination and have qualified the examination too. The number of female candidates registering for NEET 2018 is more than that of Males. 5,80,649 male candidates have registered for NEET 2018. Out of them, 5,53,849 had appeared and 3,12,399 had qualified the exam.

In case of females, 7,46,075 had registered. Out of them, 7,16,072 had appeared in the examination and 4,02,162 had qualified NEET 2018. The maximum number of candidates had qualified from the state of Uttar Pradesh.

However, in top 10 candidates of NEET 2018, 2 candidates are female Kalpana Kumari (AIR 1) and Ramneek Kaur Mahal (AIR 10). Other 8 candidates are all males.

Kalpana Kumari, from Bihar, has secured 99.99 percentile with 171 out of 180 in Physics, 161 out of 180 in Chemistry, and 360 out of 360 in Biology. Her total score out of 720 is 691.

Among top 10 NEET Toppers, 5 are from Kota. This year, out of 13 lakh a total 7 lakh candidates have qualified for All India Quota. A total of 634897 candidates have secured above 50th percentile. They have secured 691 – 119 marks in the exam.

The counselling of NEET 2018 will begin from June 12, 2018. The round of counselling will conclude on June 24. After which round 2 will be held from July 06 to 12, 2018. The complete schedule of NEET counselling 2018 is expected to be available by the end of this week, at www.mcc.nic.in. The counselling for remaining 85% seats will be conducted by each state individually. CBSE will prepare the state-wise merit list and send it to the respective counselling body of each state. Then, the registration will begin and the candidate will be asked to fill choices. Then, each state will announce the merit list for the registered candidates and as per it the allocation of the seat will be done.
