NCERT Recruitment 2020: Apply Now for 266 Vacancies of Teaching Staff

The recruitment for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor is done through the personal interview round

National Council of Educational Research and Training has released a recruitment notification for the post of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. NCERT is inviting online application to fill up the 266 vacant posts, through direct recruitment. Candidates are invited for the interview round for the selection under the announced posts. These posts are transferable to various constituent units of NCERT at Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Mysore, Shillong and New Delhi. Candidates can get the detailed advertisement (Advt. No.171/2020) and the link to apply at ncert.nic.in. The last date for the submission of NCERT application form is August 03, 2020.

Out of the total 266 vacancies, NCERT has announced a total of 39 posts for Professor, 83 posts for Associate professor and 144 for Assistant Professor. These vacancies also include the backlog vacancies. Candidates who are shortlisted are offered pay scales as per the post they have applied for. Shortlisted candidates receive Rs.1,44,200/- for Professor/Librarian, Rs. 1,31,400/- for Associate Professor and Rs.57,700/- for Assistant Professor/Assistant Librarian.

To apply for these aforementioned posts, candidates should visit the official website which is ncert.nic.in. Before applicants apply for the post, they must have a valid email address and mobile number to get registered. Candidates have to fill the details asked for registration and application form and proceed to make the fee payment. Male candidates of Unreserved, OBC and EWS category have to pay Rs.1000/- as the application fee. The NCERT recruitment application fee can only be submitted through the online process. SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates are exempted from fee payment. While submitting the application form, candidates who belong to any reserved category have to upload documents in support of their reservation claim.

Candidates can apply for more than one post only if they are eligible and meet the said criteria. In such cases, they have to submit a separate online application form along with the required fee for each post they apply for. Candidates must note that only one application form for one individual post is allowed by one applicant.

Applications are only accepted if the applicant fulfils the prescribed eligibility criteria. For the post of Professor, candidates must have M.A, M.Ed, M.Sc, M.E/M. Tech, MBA/PGDM, M.Phil/PhD, M.Librarian in relevant departments. Applicants who have M.A, M.Com, M.Ed, M.Sc, M.E/M. Tech, M.Lib, M.P.Ed MBA/PGDM, M.Phil/PhD in relevant fields can apply for Assistant Professor and Associate Professor.
