The National Board Of Examination (NBE) has released a notification on January 06, 2019 stating that the NEET-PG 2019 examination will be conducted again for the candidates belonging to Jammu & Kashmir. The NEET PG examination was conducted all over the nation on January 06, 2019, Sunday.

Many candidates residing in the valley of Jammu & Kashmir were not able to take NEET PG 2019 due to bad weather. These candidates suffered a loss to which NBE said: ” NBE is committed to give an opportunity to such affected candidates to appear in NEET-PG 2019″.

The examination was conducted in 165 cities and approx 1,48,000 candidates from all over the nation appeared for the examination. It was stated that “due to inclement weather conditions in Jammu & Kashmir, some candidates from the Srinagar Valley are not able to move to their designated exam centres in Jammu and other cities”.

NBE further took this matter to the Health ministry, Medical Council of India and Government of Jammu & Kashmir. After the discussion, it was further stated that, As it was a case of force majeure situation, a separate examination will be conducted for the candidates.

The date time for the re-examination has not yet been decided by the Board. It will be informed to the candidates in time. Although the examination was a computer-based test and was conducted in one session only. No other candidates from any other state or region will be allowed to take this test again said NBE.

Although it has not been made clear that if NBE will release a new admit card for candidates who have missed their test or not. The authentic information will be released by NBE soon. Candidates are therefore suggested to keep checking the website nbe.edu.in, for updates.

National Board Of Examination (NBE) is the body that conducts NEET-PG. It is only responsible for conducting the examination, declaring the results and providing NEET-PG ranks to the candidates. NBE has no role in the counselling and seat allotment of NEET-PG.

NEET PG is conducted by NBE for candidates willing to take MD, MS, PG Diploma programmes. It is a National level entrance examination conducted every year for candidates. And, as per the Indian Medical Council Act 1956, NBE NEET PG is the only valid postgraduate medical entrance exam, AIIMS and JIPMER being an exception.
