Mumbai University students have been waiting since November / December to check the semester result. As per the policy of the Maharashtra Govt. the University must announce the result within 45 days from the conduct of the examination. However, since the mode of examination has been shifted to computer based, students have to wait in order to check the result.

Expectations were that the result of the exams will be declared in the month of January but despite several assurances from the official, it was not announced for all the courses. By January 21, the result of only 129 subjects was announced and for 402 subjects it was pending. Despite all, the good news is that the Mumbai has announced for the result for TYB.A semester V, TYB.Com semester V and VI, B.E semester VII and VIII, M.A semester III, and M.C.A semester III as well.

The candidates can check the result from the official website of Mumbai University, which is mu.ac.in. To check it, the candidates first need to visit the website and then go to ‘Exam & Result” section. Next, the candidates need to click on “Alternative link for Mumbai University Results” link. Then scroll down and search your subjects and code.

The result has been released through pdf. On it, the seat number, name of the candidates, college name, maximum marks in each subject, minimum marks in each subject, marks secured by candidates in each subject, CGPA, etc are mentioned.

The result for 350 plus courses is still pending. In all, 3.76 lakh students appear for the exam and only a handful have been able to check the result. The University is expected to announce all the results by mid of March 2018. The process to check the results for all the courses will remain the same.

Arjun Ghatule, the controller of examination, stated that the result has been delayed a little because the teachers were busy with the external exams as well. He also revealed that over 4500 re-valuation applications are also pending from the last year’s March – April exam. Out of the total, the 1411 re-valuation applications are from the science streams. To finish the checking, MU is planning to start a special drive, which will only focus on clearing the backlog. To achieve the target, the University will make a team of dedicated professors.

The anxiety and lack of patience among the students is justified at the moment but nothing can be gained out of it. Instead stay calm, and focus on what to do next. Eventually, the result will be announced and then you will know the scores. Good luck! we hope you qualify the exam with flying colours.
