MSME Tool Room Hyderabad, also known as the Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD), has invited eligible candidates to apply for admission in various vacation courses, academia mini, and major projects work in CAD/CAM/CAE, CIVIL, ESDM and LCA. To take admission in these courses the candidates have to visit the institute with their college bonafide certificate, college Id card, and aadhaar card.
The courses have already begun in November 2019. These are winter vacation courses and the same will end in March 2020. Courses are scheduled to be held on every Wednesday during this duration.
The duration of the AUTOCAD (2D and 3D modeling) course and the CNC programming (Milling and Turning) course is 1 week, 3 hours per day. The duration of the rest of the CAD / CAM / CAE courses is 1 month, 3 hours each day.
The fee for AUTOCAD (2D and 3D modeling) and CNC programming (Milling and Turning) is Rs. 5,310, each. Other than these courses, candidates have to take admission in any 2 courses and then the amount of fee increased to Rs. 10,030.
For the civil courses, the fee for AUTOCAD civil (2D, 3D and architectural planning) is Rs. 4,130. However, for the rest of the courses, the fee is Rs. 5,310. The duration of each of these courses is 1 month for 3 hours per day.
The fee for each of the Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) courses and Low Cost Automation (LCA) courses is Rs. 7,670. The duration of all each of the courses under LCA and ESDM is 1 month for 3 hours per day.
The SC and ST candidates are eligible for fee waiver, as per the government of India scheme. Also, all the candidates in 3rd and 4th year of the required degree for admission will get mini & major and inplant training.
The course of CAD/CAM/CAE includes 10 courses. Out of them, to take admission in AUTOCAD (2D and 3D modeling) and CNC programming (Milling and Turning) candidates must be pursuing B.E/B.Tech or diploma in mechanical/production/instrumentation/automobile/aeronautical engineering or its equivalent.
For admission in the rest of the 8 courses, candidates must also be pursuing B.E/B.Tech or diploma. However, for these courses, the specialisation must be in mechanical/production/instrumentation/automobile/aeronautical engineering or it’s equivalent. The 8 courses are namely PRO-E/CREO (Modelling, assembly and drafting), Solid works (Modelling, assembly and drafting), ANSYS (Structural and Thermal Analysis), HYPERMESH (Shell Mesh and Solid Mesh), UNIGRAPHICS (Modelling, assembly, and drafting), DELCAM (Design and Milling), MASTERCAM (Design, Turning and Milling).
Next in line is admission to CIVIL courses. The civil courses include 5 courses in all. The admission for these courses is open for the candidates who have a B.E/B.Tech/Diploma degree in civil engineering, architecture or its equivalent. The CIVIL courses include AUTOCAD Civil (2D, 3D and architectural planning), REVIT Architecture (2D and 3D plans, Elevation designs), REVIT Structure (Structural modeling and detailing), 3DS MAX (3D modeling and interior design), STAAD PRO (Structural Design and analysis).
Talking about the eligibility for admission in the ESDM courses, candidates must be pursuing M.Tech in VLSI or ES or DSP. However, the candidates pursuing B.Tech/B.E. or Diploma in ECE/EEE/Instrumentation/CSE engineering or pursuing M.Sc/B.Sc electronics or it’s equivalent can also apply. The ESDM courses open for admission are Verilog, HDL simulation, STD. cell design, HDL-synthesis, IC-physical design, microcontroller, Matlab programming, Matlab-DSP, Matlab-DSP, Matlab-arduino, Matlab-image processing, Matlab-raspberry PI, VLSI, embedded PI, Python programming.
Lastly, aspirants looking for admission in LCA courses in mechatronics be pursuing M.E/M.Tech in mechatronics, power electronics, power systems or it’s equivalent courses. For admission in CIVIL course of programme logic controllers, candidates must be pursuing B.E/B.Tech or Diploma in ECE/EEE/mechatronics/automobile engineering or its equivalent. For admission in another civil course of power electronics, candidates must be pursuing M.E/M.Tech in power electronics/power systems or must be pursuing B.E/B.Tech or Diploma in EEE or it’s equivalent.
