An important update has come to light amid reports of the MNS 2022 official notification releasing soon. Accordingly, Indian Army is likely to conduct the Military Nursing Service (MNS) 2022 admission process through NEET 2022 exam scores. Although an official notice confirming the same will be released soon, this news surfaced as a reply to an inquiry mailed by the candidate to Indian Army authorities.
Usually, the Indian Army conducts its own test to admit eligible and qualified candidates for the 4-year B.Sc. Nursing course. However, this year, the admission process is likely to undergo a revamp with NEET 2022 entering the picture. The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2022 is all set to be conducted on July 17, 2022.
What did the email state?
While replying to the candidate’s inquiry, Indian Army authorities gave the following revert –
Dear Candidates,
Notification for admissions for BSc Nursing course 2022 will be released soon at Join Indian Army official website. This year admissions will be based on NEET (UG) scores. Please register for NEET (UG) conducted by NTA on 17 Jul 2022 and fil BSc Nursing for MNS application form which is likely to be released in the month of Jun 2022 at JIA website.
Indian Army MNS 2022 Notification
As clearly evident in the revert, authorities have not provided any specific date for release of MNS 2022 official notification. However, the revert clearly specifies the close likelihood of the notification coming out soon. This notification will mention the selection process for admission to the BSc Nursing course in the army. The notification is expected to release on the official website joinindianarmy.nic.in.
It is however, unofficially clear that this year, the Indian Army will not be conducting its own entrance exam for admitting eligible candidates. It will instead, rely on NEET 2022 scores for its admission process. So, candidates interested in this course are advised to register for the entrance exam, as soon as possible before the deadline runs out.
It is however, mandatory for candidates to also fill-up the MNS 2022 application form, once it releases. The form is expected to release in June 2022, as specified in the reply. This document will also be published on the official website joinindianarmy.nic.in.
NEET 2022 Exam Schedule
According to the official schedule uploaded by NTA, the NEET 2022 application process is scheduled from April 06 to May 06, 11:50 pm. The last date to successfully pay the application fee is May 07, 2022, up to 11:50 pm. Dates for correction facility and announcement of exam city to be announced. Even the exact date for release of admit cards has not been specified. These will be announced separately, at a later stage of the application process.
The NEET 2022 examination is going to be conducted on July 17, from 2:00 pm to 5:20 pm. It will be held in the pen-and-paper format, at selected centres across the country.
