Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is recruiting eligible candidates for the post of Technician in various departments, Train Operator (Shunting), Junior Engineer (Store), Traffic Controller, and Helper. The applications are invited for 110 announced posts on a permanent basis under Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL). The detailed advertisement carrying information regarding eligibility, qualifications, pay scales and other instructions is available on the official website, mmrda.maharashtra.gov.in. The application window is open from June 27, 2020, onwards. Candidates have to submit the applications before the last date for the receipt that is July 27, 2020.
The representations for the announced posts can be submitted through online procedure only. Aspirants should visit the official website, mmrda.maharashtra.gov.in to register and submit the online application form. Once candidates register themselves successfully, they shall proceed to fill up the application form using the auto-generated user ID and password. During this process, General category candidates have to pay Rs.300/- whereas reserved category candidate have to pay Rs.150/- as the application fee.
The work experience and educational qualification are calculated as on June 01, 2020. Applicants who wish to apply for Technician post must possess ITI/ NCVT/SCVT from recognized Institue in the relevant field. For the post of Helper, candidates should have ITI/NCVT/SCVT, degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Electronics and Telecommunications for Traffic Controller and Train Operator, Degree/Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/Civil/ Electronics and Telecommunication for Junior Engineer (Stores). Candidates who wish to apply for the post of Technician (Civil)-I, Technician-I, Technician (S&T) – I, Technician (E&M) – I must have 02 years work experience in their respective fields.
Similar to the qualifications and experience, the age limit of the candidates is also calculated as on June 01, 2020. The upper age limit for Technician (Civil)-I is 40 years, 38 years for Technician (Civil)-II, 40 years for Technician (S&T)-I, 38 years for Technician (S&T)-II, 40 years for Technician (E&M)-I, 38 years for Technician (E&M)-II, 40 years for Technician-I, 38 years for Train Operator (Shunting), Junior Engineer (Stores), Traffic Controller and Helper. Age relaxations are provided to reserved categories as given in the official notification.
As per the official notification, the vacancies are distributed among the announced posts allotting Technician-I post largest share of 58 vacancies. This is followed by the vacancy of Technician (S&T) – I with 39 vacancies. For the post of Technician (Civil) – I, 08 posts are announced, 02 vacancies for Technician (Civil) -II, 02 for Technician (S&T)-II, 01 vacancies for Technician (E&M)-I, Technician (E&M)-II, Train Operator (Shunting), Junior Engineer (Store), Traffic Controller and Helper. The selection of candidates is based on the computer-based test, document verification and interview round.
